Good to know. I got a second job so I'm not on a lot during the day and I have to go to my first job tonight so I might not respond until tomorrow if we are super busy at work tonight.

Haha wow, I totally misunderstood your question! I am relieved I opted to give a shorter answer, although glad you still enjoyed it.

As for your question, I would forewarn that I am not well acquainted with either Sociology or Psychology. I do however tend to find that Psychology is more prone to biological determinism. It is also my understanding that, more claims to human nature tend to eventuate from fields within Psychology.

I have some interest in the field of Sociology too. Although it is certainly not something I would call a strength of mine. Did pick up a few sociology books at the Red Cross Book Fair though.

As for your question on character differences, it is a little hard to answer that as they are not two homogeneous groups. Even among small scale 'tribal' peoples there is a lot of variance. It also becomes more difficult as they are not self creating, isolated entities as they were once imagined to be. As they have been influenced, often to disastrous effect, by larger forces.

Some generalized examples however include what some call the "Big Man Complex", where prestige is gained by the person who is able to convince people to contribute their labours, and resources, towards the hosting of a feast. The success of the feast determines the prestige gained. This can include rivalries, where competing 'big men' attempt to hold more elaborate and extensive feasts for their rivals and their followers.

There are also societies where people much more freely share their resources with their contemporaries. I recall a quote in the work of Anthropologist Roger M. Keesing where the person he was speaking to struggled to understand people dying of famine, while others consumed large quantities in the same society.

We are the masters of clarification. :P By that phrase I was referring more to how we both come from W.E.I.R.D societies. The subtle differences which can exist between communication styles can be quite interesting at times. My former flatmate is experiencing this in the academic environment while taking some Management classes. (Sociology is his forte.)

At the risk of no longer being awesome, I don't support free market capitalism. @.@

Thank you for quenching my curiosity in the debate thread. I suspected that you might be discussing that. However I wasn't sure if it was that, or that you were speaking more ambiguously about private property rights. As this is the context I am more used to seeing the term Archaic Government being applied, societies which do not recognize private property the same way we do.

Wow! That's actually a great piece of advice. However did you happen upon this state that matched your needs? Google? Or was there some serious research involved?

I worked at KODAK for a few months on an internship and I'm now at a small manufacturing place. Right now, I still have a year left so I haven't really been looking for a job. But I planned on using my double major and double minor (marketing and communications) to my advantage. But we'll see how that goes. >< Finding a job is always so hard. I really don't want to leave New York, but, if I can't find a job, then I guess I will have to spread out and look in another state. ._.

I think that I am literate to advanced and have RPed for a decade. I am always open to polite criticism and will give such as well. I do not care how long you post, unless I think you are not trying, in which case I will ask if there was more you can put or why not. Chatspeak will not be accepted in story, but good spelling is appreciated and not mandatory. I do not mind if you use grammar differently, but I refuse to strain my eyes for light/bright colors or odd font sizes. All in all, let’s try to make posts understandable to each other, so there is no lost interest.

No powerplays, including offensive actions, so just ask; we will eventually know what is okay. If that is part of your person’s personality, let me know, but know that mine have personalities too. Also, you may have instant feelings, God-moding and Mary-Sues/Gary-Stus, but if continuous then it is annoying, so fair warning. No ovary-only players please and have multiple persons, since we are not the only ones in the world(s). If you are inactive, I will try to ping and PM you, but may have to powerplay your person into napping or something.

I play any/all genres, and do not rate my stories, but uninhibited parts I can do on AIM or another site. I will not play a biblical incestuous couple ((grand)childX(grand)parent, aunt/uncleXniece/nephew, including in-laws, halves and steps), non-heterosexuals, children (someone who has not hit puberty), divorcees (if not widowed), animals or inorganic beings in a romance. I will not play or play with people from the Bible, gods, angels or demons, unless explained that they are not the real deals. If you have any questions or concerns about the rules, then please PM me.

I have plot ideas, but feel free to suggest your own. I love bouncing ideas off of each other, so get ready for pre-story discussion. I work with people, so please be prepared with your own ideas and we can work our plots together. Also, I have found that a role-player, whose person is “proactive” towards the other’s person (romantic or not), should not be forced to also provide the main storyline. I enjoy testing out creatures or characters and being involved in tests of others, and I also have lots of persons that I can just place or create for other RPers’ storylines.
