    LOL. That would be so CUTE though. XD You could do what Ferra did and just make a Licky Licky hoodie! Then you could dress easily and comfortably as the pokemon and not be in a full costume. :3 (Though Ferra dressed like one of the electric pokemon... You could always PM her or profile comment her to ask for a photo. XD )

    My parents go to Dragon*Con in Atlanta with me. XD They sort of dropped me off in '07 and went into the convention with me in '08 along with one of my brothers and his wife. :3 I've purchased their tickets for this year's convention too. ;3 They said they'd consider dressing in steampunk, but that was their limit. LOL.

    My first costume was the lolita outfit with the butterfly sleeves (if you've seen the photo posted in the post-yer-photo thread). It was pre-made and rather comfortable while still being a little flashy. XD I can't say as I've ever gotten really creative, though. XD I've tied a cheap kimono around my waist and worn a mini-dress to sort of look a little punk and worn just a simple plaid-punk skirt and pig-tailed hair to be Random!Punk Chick. >_>;

    I'd recommend not doing face make-up (like full make-up, not something around the eyes or on the lips) unless it's a convention where you won't get too hot and sweaty. It's itchy and if it runs, you look really lame. XD; I've seen too many otherwise great costumes ruined because they didn't tend to their make-up when it started running. Something that you can move pretty easily (ie: up and down stairs) is a must. Because sometimes security won't let you use an elevator or to get to where you want to go there isn't one easily available. (They're also often packed.) And keep in mind the weather... For Momocon, which is held in the spring, it shouldn't be too hot and might even be cold/wet. For Dragon*con, that's always Labor Day weekend, so it's usually hot so you'd want to wear fewer layers/less...

    *rambles* >_>;

    Hope that helps any. XD; Feel free to ask more. XD

    I think next year/next convention we'll be a bit more organized and have a meet-up time and area. XD I'm so glad you got to meet tentenpuff (and also GrayNoodle, but I don't know if you guys had ever spoken before or if you realized her friend was also a Mene member, if a less-active one), but I didn't get to introduce any of the others to each other!

    And it's so much fun to dress up. XD Lily will love it. :3 The cuter or flashier or more on-model (if she's dressing as a recognizable character) a costume is, the more likely she'll get, "Oh, can I take your picture??" or "nice costume!" comments. :3 So if she likes positive attention like that, she'll have even more of a blast. :3 I don't know if I can go to a convention in jeans and a tee-shirt anymore, even if it's usually more comfortable. LOL.

    In a week or so, there will probably be an announcement of the next convention we'll attend. I need to hammer out the details with the convention people before it becomes official, but it won't be until the spring of next year, so you'll have time to plan and get together a costume for Lily. :3 (And yourself too, maybe. XD)

    Thank you so so much for the cookies! :heart: That was so thoughtful! Your children were adorable. :3 I hope they and your "old man" (had to put that in quotes as you guys aren't exactly old. LOL) enjoyed themselves. :3 And you too, of course! LOL.

    You should have one male and one female Georgia Peach teeshirt in your inventory - please let me know if I somehow sent you something different. XD;

    Knowing that other people are going through and have been though what you're going through helps, because you don't feel so isolated then.

    Having advice given to me on here has helped and given me that push I needed to ask for help when I next go to the doctors. It's given me that bit of support you need when you have to ask for help which is the scariest thing to do.

    It's alot easier to talk to people who you don't know as well because they can give you advice that friends can't.

    I've felt better having somewhere to talk about it with people who know what it's like to be in a position like that.
