I miss being able to snack. A See's box is open. A TJ's Oreo box. There's that fruit cake. I can't even nosh on Chez it's. After that rather skimpy din all I will get is an ensure. An itsy bitsy can.

I was getting on Bros case today. His numbers are much worse plus he takes meds. He's like, a lil high? Ya think? I told him to be more serious about this. It isn't some game wondering what the number will be. If the number is high, it injures you. Injures your eyes.

Nonetheless, I still would love to eat snacks. Think I'll hit hay early.

Did my normal hour walk route but went a bit slower. Ankle still cooperating. Tomorrow I'll be off feeding Wally so it gets a break. The creek was a lot lower, and still. I picked up another book at a lil library.

Today I'm messing a bit with my phones. Still can't connect them to wifi printer. Drives me nuts.

It's all gray here, tho not cold.

Having my nightly ensure. Fer sure.Mr x is watching one of the numerous British shows he likes. No commercials. Not noisy like American tv. No car crashes. Basically a lot of talk. But it's rather soothing. I don't pay attention to it.

Sue girl is debating whether to renew the high school site subscription or we'll just move to em. She has no info on her profile. No pic, info. Nothing. Why would you join if you bring nothing to the table. Do folks want to join when no one posts anything?

I feel distracted by everything. Today we did a slow, regular hill walk. My ankle held up. I'd like to try another reg route tomorrow. I feel less fit since this ankle thing. We were really bopping around town before. And now I have my caps. Today I wore the 3rd one. It's a hoodie! By itself. It's brill. It's very thick so too warm today. But it'll do well in cold temps. Mr x liked it. I told him I could order him a black one but he demurred. He doesn't want more stuff. I don't blame him.

We stopped at Shangri la library today. Been awhile. I returned 3 books. Didn't find anything. She had half of collection covered by a plastic tablecloth cause of the rain.

I started another book today. 19 yr cab driver becoming some kind of messenger. At first I thought it was an illicit thing. Now I think it's some goody two shoes project. I've got to work on this mess of books on the floor.

New nabes seem to be low key. But they're putting their 3 garbage cans in front of our place. At least no more construction noise. But it's always something irritating with nabes.

Think I'll hit hay early. I've been sleeping better with the melatonin.

Well, the new year has really begun. I finally feel like it's slowed down a bit. Mr x is drowsing by the space heater, cool jazz softly playing. It's an oddly warm, overcast day.

We did another short walk. I wore my new purple fleece flap cap. Mr x liked it.

Just opened gfs gift box. She had forgotten to send me 3 items. They were a small Grinch ornament, 2 tiny hand sanitizer gels, and a large guideposts planner book. She spent $15.50 on postage. That's so ouch since she was recently here. But I can see why she sent planner. It'd be out of date next year.

I made up bunch of pbj and had a half. Having a decafe now.

I had forgotten that other gal visited my site. The one that exclaimed, are you high on something, girl friend?! We chatted a few times then it died. She lives in Florida.

Today Sue girl said she ALWAYS ENJOYS talking to me each day. And that it's a great start to each day!! Well, how complimentary. To have someone look forward to your daily msg. I guess this is my new addition to my schedule. I write her when I'm having my morning Joe. I'm not going to tell her about my eye or ch prob. Part of that is a willful denial. When we knew each other in 4th grade, that wasn't my reality. I kind of want to keep that vibe with her. Heck, I haven't even told gf I have ch. She would not like this. But then she wouldn't give me candy or cookies anymore! I'm such a pig. But bro has a close pal with insulin ch and he hasn't told that guy he's type two. People are weird.

Bro said he was going to turn on furnace and leave house. Cause naturally he didn't vac it. It'll reek. He said normally he doesn't have it on as his bookcases block the vents. Naturally. Where do you think he puts all this crappy crap he keeps carting back from next door? It's been toys recently. Bunches of hello kitty stuff. He's a guy! He's a man, technically. Hard to see him that way since he's my younger bro. But a guy wants hello kitty stuff? I want hello kitty stuff! But I want new stuff. But even then I don't want more stuffed animals.

So I found a nice article ol describing how blocking vents with a bookcase could, rarely, cause a fire as the air can't flow out and furnace could overheat. Bro has fire ocd. He won't burn in fireplace or use candles. Maybe he'll clean up some and move those bookcases? Will his freezing house motivate him? Who knows.

Looks like that guy has fallen off the radar and ignoring me. What an unnecessary, uncomfortable event I initiated. It just hasn't worked out well with that site on actual interactions. One guy just wanted to tell me about a reunion, one guy I wrote to did not write back but he still comes and leaves his calling card. One guy was a horn dog who wrote me. I wrote this current guy with embarrassing results. And Sue girl wrote me. She told me today I always have interesting and informative messages. At least I can give her a welcomed daily message.

We're waiting for gfs gift box but it hasn't come. I had to abort the walk. I did, however, do inside bike for 30 min. My ch numbers are erratic without the walking.

One of my old lunch buddies told me he got the virus over Xmas. But is doing ok.

I worked at my desk today. I was retouching my dad's weight lifting pics when he was 22. Taken at a studio. Prop was a sword. Thru the years the sword deteriorated and pieces disappeared. I had an eyeliner wet wand and used that. Did one pic. I used an old envelope up to the sword line so I could color in close.

It's started to rain. It was cloudy all day. I'm better today about that guy disappearing. I'm not looking as obsessively as yesterday to see if he wrote. I can tell you something, tho. I will never grace a reunion with my presence. What's the use?

And that guy did leave another visit on my site even tho there's nothing new. What's the purpose of that? And as predicted he hasn't written me. It's a let down, admittedly. Sue girl, on the other hand, wrote me. We're writing daily. Is it a date thing? He was only interested in a date? He sure took his time. He never wrote me. What a nerd. If he liked my site so much, there I was to converse, but he backs away. I must try to forget. It's like I was on a rollercoaster ride yesterday. I felt I had hooked up with a classmate.

Today I did desky. I ordered a lot of Amazon stuff and had to copy down the details. The sun has gone now plus my eyes are crossed. I need to vac back room but it's so cold back there. I feel like I'm slogging in knee deep mud.

So I write this HS blog and post pics. Folks can come by and have their visit recorded. I get many visitors because I write plus post pics. I get many repeat folks. There was this one who constantly came by. He left 3 visits on my site today. You can adjust settings so you do a stealth visit but he didn't. He Wants me to see his numerous visits.

So I looked him up in yearbook. He's a year younger. My bro said he remembers him. He was a very cute boy with a winning smile. I decided to drop him a note.

I entitled it Botticelli and asked him was I real or a bot? I figured I'd hear from him. And soon here comes my msg. He said he kinda remembered me from HS. He said he loves my pics. And that I'm so young looking and cute.

Well, we were off. We swapped a dozen msgs. We knew some of the same people. He misses this town. He lives in Vegas. So I looked him up. He's a bank underwriter. He would've liked to date me. But I am with Mr x now. Soon I received a msg saying it was great to get to know you today and let's stay in touch. I thought we Were in touch! We just met today. But I guess he doesn't want a pen pal. And there was a current pic of him. Where's the beautiful long hair he had? He looks 20 years older than me. His smile was the same. I am disappointed. When he'd come by, I'd be envisioning the cute boy. I wrote back with my em but said I prefer the HS site as stuff gets lost amongst the spam. It was, in the end, a disappointing experience. Is this what reunions are like? You reminisce a little, but you have nothing in common anymore. I don't expect to hear from him again tho he may still visit my site.

Well, my week was topsy turvey. I had been off walking for 5 days. We started up again. And did 6 straight days. But that day I wore the slide in shoe wrecked my ankle. I was getting pain from it. I'd wrap it and go on walk. It'd bother me awhile but then settle down. After that 6th day, however, it twinged then started hurting and I started limping. This is the 2nd day off. I'm taking tomorrow off too. Then try half the amount of 30 min the next day.

I've been productive. Did desky today. Sorted DR pile of stuff. I'll start next post with my adventures today.

Instead of watching a movie I wrote gf a thank you em. I also opened two weeks of mail. In case she had sent me a subscription or something. Ah! I forgot. She had enclosed a small card with the gifts. I haven't even opened it. Drat. Besides that card she had sent two by mail. And rats, forgot to mention the bag o mags.

I'm not running on full cylinders yet. Those 5 days of no exercise done me in. I forgot all sorts of steps. Forgot to use spf, forgot my ankle wrap. Well, well. I'll do better tomorrow. If I did this daily, I'd get my act together, but we're always starting and stopping. Wed and Fri are inn days to wait for Amazon.

Today it rained during our walk. I had been monitoring weather app, but it changed. So we did not wear rain gear. A few blocks in it started. He said, what are we going to do? Home was close by. I said, let's go on. It stopped after awhile and it wasn't pouring. Nonetheless, my jeans jac and pants got wet. It was icky.i don't like being wet. It ruffles my fur. So if rain is anywhere near our walk, I'll wear my poncho. I should look into an emergency, lightweight thing. Something would've been better than nothing.

Sue girl and I still comparing kids we knew.

I'm not having a sees tonight.I don't want to get carried away. Mr x continues downing those snack bags. It's the Frito lays box. 40 bags of cookies, chips, snacks. Some of the expiration dates were Feb and I thought they'd be stale, but not at all. I might get him another one. Usually it'd be only at Xmas, but maybe Midway between now and his bday in Aug. Thatd be April. He opened the bath bombs and was really tickled.
