I seem to have renewed Mr xs drivers license ol. We called for an appt for the written but it seems unnecessary. That's great! I want to see the license in the mail tho. Now it's my turn to study. Hopefully I'll get an extension also.

It's a hot one today. 92• right now. I've been shuffling paper, clearing off my desk. The stepper works with the new battery. I have to set it now. You have to measure your stride. Measure out 10' see how many steps you take. I don't feel like putting down measuring tape on a hot day. But I can program other parts of it.

I tried a yellow spaghetti top. It was too tight! This is not good. How can I wear out my stuff if I can't wear them?

I'm waiting for Amazon to bring my batteries. I can set up step tracker. It'll be helpful.

Today I slogged my route. I've got it down from 60 to 50 min. Prob some real runner can do it in 25. I tell myself, at least I'm getting out there. It's hard not to compare yourself with others.

Anyway, I wore a new teal top with pink shorts. Didn't quite work. Teal too dark. A pale blue would've been better. I did have a fuchsia scrunchie and put in pearl dot earrings.

Yest made up a passel of pbj. Just had a cold half. Now mocha ensure. My ch was unusually low this morn. Dinner had been can spaghetti n meatballs plus veg. It was prob the Carby spaghetti. I had a small cookie in addition to soup and lil protein bar for brekkie.

But I feel on the edge. Not brimming with energy n vigor. Slogging. Using radio tunes for motivation. The temp was ok. At times cool and invigorating. At times rather warm.

Now I feel kind of fried but I should press on with DMV work. First, I'll find my old account and see what it's about. Then I'll make Mr x an account.

Just had mocha ensure over ice. Brr. Had to shut off fan. This is my new stylus. And I'm using the round end. Not the disc. Most round ends don't work. This is a disc plus round end stylus. I got it cause of the color. It's two tone. One is pink white, other purple white.

It's desky day. Opened mail. Then got distracted. I had about $11 free credit to buy a Kindle book. So I did.

I logged in Mr xs license renewal. Next I'll have to work on it. Get him a DMV account so I can get him an appt. I can't believe you can't walk in.

I ordered a battery for that step tracker and more kpods. I didn't order more tops. Speaking of tops, this coral spaghetti one will be dumped. The strap has been falling down all morning. You shouldn't have to adjust your clothes continuously after you put them on.

I finished another reacher book. I gave it C- It dragged on and on. Meandered here, there. To where I forgot what the original plot was. Reacher solved the case, as always. Then, 2 hours later he's on his way. He has a severe commitment issue? I don't understand this character. I mean, some folks move on from relationships. They don't want commitment. I get that. But this guy can't commit to a place? He must move every two days unless he's working a mission?

In this book it showed him as being fallible. He actually made mistakes. Maybe when I finish all the books I'll get a better read on him.

On my HS site I am putting up pics from my 8th grade grad. I found the newspaper clippings that showcased it. Took screenshots of it. Plus I have my personal pics. I gave a grad speech and there's a pic of me at the mic. I also will post the original speech I wrote. Plus I have diary entries that speak of the grad. I also have my report card. I did well except for math and science.

Other day bro said a guy from HS wanted to get in touch. I vaguely membered the name. Looked him up but don't recognize him. He became a geologist. Geologist? Who does that? That's a job? He said the guy played bassoon in band and they went to a lot of parties. But bro said he's not interested in some reunion. He's prob better off not contacting the guy. What for? They hadn't stayed in touch. Why now?

Yest we walked and it did indeed mist on us. Hopefully some areas got some wet. There had been a fire up north but I've heard nothing since so I suppose they mopped it up. There was an earthquake couple days ago. Strong jolt. Woke me up. 4.1

It's a desky day today. Mr x telling me his evil adventures. He was saying when he was in the army he wanted to go to Russia. He was stationed in Germany for 13 months. But he didn't have the clearance to go there. Some fellow buddies went. Said they visited the Russian graves of famous generals. There were rules that you had to keep your arms down by your side. KGB were standing guard. I told Mr x it's a good thing you couldn't go. Cause Mr x doesn't follow rules. He goes out of his way to disobey. He Likes cop interactions like being stopped.

Enough of that. He went to watch tv. I'm copying down my exercise log. Haven't since Jan. And now I'm too sleepy after his weekly omelet. Luckily I did some work before.

It's creepy overcast weather. May sprinkle tomorrow. Well, we desperately need that. I watched 6 episodes of grace under fire yest. I went thru last clothes bin. The too small one. They're still too small. I've got 6 beautiful corduroy cargo boys shorts I've barely worn. Most have the tags still on. When I weighed about 105# They'll have to wait their turn.

I'm a lil better over owning 17 tops. The irritating, odd number. Maybe I can keep calm and not order 3 more to an even number. It's total ocd. Once my mom gave me a bday card, but she used a felt tip pen. It smeared. And enraged me. I told her I had to tear it up. And did. That's how nutty ocd can be. I need precision stuff. I'm into details. I have to eat every grain of rice on a plate. Things have to be straightened up. I cut all threads off clothes after a washing. I'm not on Prozac anymore tho I take it occasionally. I think all the exercise helps. The serotonin and all.

Haven't walked for 2 days. I did much needed desky. Mr x had dentist appt today. I mopped kitchen while he was out. I had run out of floor cleaner so used vinegar, baking soda, and a dab of my dad's old cologne. Worked fine. I don't think I'll get more cleaner. I'm trying to use stuff up.

My clothes from Amazon came in. Altogether I've gotten 17 exercise tops. Two different brands. They are sleeveless which is my preference. But the odd number bugs me. I may get 3 more to make a round number of 20. They are so lightweight. Pullover types. No buttons, zippers. So they take up hardly any room.

I also have bought 5 shorts. I'm wearing the first one today. It's this gorgeous pastel pattern of pink, baby blue, and yellow. It's got pockets. I'm wearing it tomorrow to scoot. Sup to be hot but I'll try to get out earlier.

I really scrutinized the size and fitting. And read reviews mentioning size. They all fit. A couple I may try to shrink a lil in the dryer. Google said try about 15 min. I'll start with 10. I'd rather a loose than tight fit. I also dumped the fuchsia spaghetti I wore yest. Too tight. I hate that feeling. I'll be trying all my spaghetti tops. There were 25. I think most will fit. I've hardly worn them cause I had gained wt.

Mr x said he got a license renewal in mail. He has to go in. What a pain. And it'll be my pain. Me getting him ol appt, figuring out what monetary payment they accept. I don't even get one days respite before another annoyance lands on my plate. I had to get him ready for dental appt. Answering their texts on my phone, filling out their virus questionnaire. Remembering the date and time. He's got another appt near Xmas. I don't like appts like this. I hate having it weigh on my mind. I need to go to dentist. My last was in 2019.

Then Mr x informs me Natasha next door was taking out her garbage cans. They're putting them in front of our house. But she put them too close to ours. When that happens, the garbage guy will just pass on by. So he opens door and asks her in firm voice if she could leave us space. Explains the guys won't like it. She acquiesced. He says thank you.

But this is awkward. Mr xs firm voice is not to be meddled with. It's not genial. He can go from extremely amiable to quite harsh. Cause he's always dealt with tough, rough guys at work. So unfortunate. But if he didn't say something either he would have to reposition all 3 of her cans. Or we risk them skipping our pickup. I would've done it if I'd seen her, but I wouldn't have used a firm voice. Folks don't like any kind of voice, tho, when you chastise them.

Listening to the highwaymen with Johnny cash et al. I'm wearing a lime spaghetti strap for the last time. It's too tight. I'm going thru my bag of them. I had 25. Anything tight gets tossed. I don't think I'll lose any more weight. 115# seems to be it.

Today we had a spectacular 1.5+ hr walk. Temp was perfect. We ended up at this house that had a lil library in front. It had been removed last time. Still was but the owner was there. Mr x asked her about the box. She's just doing maintenance on it.

Now, my gf lived there. Back in 3 rd grade thru HS. I went to a swim party there where I almost drowned. Her mom had to jump in to get me.

I asked the owner if the pool was still there. It wasn't. She wanted me to read this book about a treasure hunt. It had been in the news. This guy buried a treasure chest somewhere with jewels etc. A lot of folks tried to find it. He had written some poem with clues. Someone eventually found it after 4 yrs. Couldn't find it on audio. Don't know if my wonky double vision will let me read such a long book.

So gf came at 11:30 a.m. takes about 3 hrs from sacto. It was a hot day, but we stood under front tree... For 2 hrs. Near the end I had to sit on grass. Mr x said we could've sat in back. True, but I didn't know how long she planned to stay. She didn't want ice water. I brought my water bottle and drank from it.

It was a great visit. Mr x was there. I told him, she's one of the most interesting persons I've ever met. Very intelligent. She knows obscure things. Bro members her as being very smart in their 5th grade. Her dad expected her to become a scientist. She well could have except for life circumstances. She wasn't able to go to college. So now toils at Amazon doing grunt work. But she has a good attitude about it.

Turns out the lights out in bathroom was just the bulb. I should look up electrician tho.

Then other day we were going out. I pulled door closed and realized it was unlocked. From when gf came. I had forgotten to lock it. All night long it was unlocked. In this lawless town of burglaries. I didn't tell Mr x. But I'll be more vigilant.

Got to walk now.

Waiting for gf. She said it could be 11 a.m. it's 10:45 a.m. it's 85• I'm all ready. Bathroom's gorgeously clean. Got a cup to offer her ice water. I'm wearing violet. Wearing one of her dangly, glass earrings. May be short visit. Too hot.

Someone posted a video shot and asked is this monsieur ugly or a house cat. Unanimously, everyone agreed it was monsieur ugly. It walked in backyard then jumped fence.

I looked up place on Google maps. It's about a mile away on a main St that goes up in the hills. The house abuts dirt hill land in back. They're right next to a small trail park all shrouded in trees. Mr x and I hiked there once. About a year ago a deer was killed. Compliments of monsieur ugly.

Across the st is a bigger park. Great hiking paths. Gf used to come over and we'd walk there, then hike the trail, and walk back. I guess we were in top shape to do that.

I'm scared of monsieur ugly. Guess hiking is out unless there's some huge assemblage. With big dogs.

Today is another hot one but I'm inside cleaning and mopping. Things are starting to gleam around here!

We walked another 1.5 hr today. Stopped by a free book bin at a house. Their black cat was there and immediately came over purring and to be petted. Mr x got a bunch of animal kid books like seals etc. I picked up a 5 book series of a kid book. I had to lug it back many blocks but it was worth it.

Yest I got some vac and mopping done! I can finish it tomorrow. What shall I wear when gf comes? We'll be standing around outside. I'll have to wear spf. Maybe I can do a patio session of skating afterwards. I'd hate to put on all that spf and just stand around. Guess I'll wear some shorts outfit.

I was looking on Amazon for basic white, elastic shorts. Ha! They all seem to have these cord ties. So annoying! You don't want that wrapping around the washer the wrong way.

Or the elastic is 3xs as tall. That's cute. Like a boa constrictor around your middle. Or else they're super short. When I'm walking, I want cordial, decent shorts.i don't want super high ones. Those are ok for slogging.

And I have many, many shorts. Tons. Running ones, home ones, heavy cargo ones. I'm going to have to search them. Cause I have these 3 cute shorts. 2 white, 1 pink. I think they're L.L. Bean. They are the perfect shorts. Elastic band, cordial, pockets. I like to match the white. And white goes with everything. But 3 shorts go fast. Then I'm left pawing thru unsuitable ones.

I need to return to desky. And tinkering with that step counter. But first gf coming wed.
