Quality control has fallen by the wayside, i fear, my dear mr w. Inspector 14 has fallen asleep at the wheel. Can you imagine somebody sending out a maligned windshield? What if you needed it?

It's a sad, sad state of Whatsville. A sister city of Whoville. A small subsidiary of Seuss Land, U.S.A. no, i bought chipped scissors from Amazon. And yes, was sold as new. And when i wrote seller i didn't ask for anything. Just stated it had chip and would it rust. They simply responded no it won't rust. Didn't pick up the fact it was chipped and shouldn't be. So... if they consider chips acceptable, well, ill let the chips fall as they lay.

I wore the new neon green belt and it worked well. Jake from state farm was out there on an hour plus work call. He's very hyper when he talks so he stutters. My slog was sluggish. Or my slug was sloggish. I had ensure and half pbj. It didn't help. It's either the food or temp. I had to stop four times. Brought out pad and paper to write time i stopped.

Today watched a 1933 movie about an inadvertent foursome. It was very nice. It could've gone many ways, but it took the high way.

Bro sent me some old family pics that i haven't seen in a long time. And some of me i had forgotten. Old pics are very fascinating, if you're into it. I didn't place value on it at the time because i was living it. But it's better than memory sometimes. It's a snapshot of the moment. Haha.

The fireworks are going on now.

Once upon a transaction, I was sold new windshield glass that had a visible fuse line running the length of the glass. When I pointed this out to the installer, he offered me fifty bucks the bill. I opted to wait for new glass to arrive and be reinstalled.

How this imperfect glass made it through the initial quality control check from the manufacturer I will never know. But it certainly shouldn't have been accepted by the car glass company.

Were the chipped scissors from Ebay? And were the scissors touted as being new out of the box? I wouldn't dock the stellar seller a star if said seller is chipper about sending a new pair.

Why thank you, Mr w! It came to me suddenly over my plate of pink eggs and spam:)

And thus Tuesday slowly grinds to an end. Mr x has left the room. So im having a party. Just had a choc ensure. Soon a peachy peach shall follow. He bought a white and yellow one. I think the yellow has more flavor. I have Karen carpenter on.

I wrote earlier but dash it all, it got erased. That really chaps my hide.

I had a busy day. Cut Mr xs hair with flowbee. He had a 3" ponytail. He looks good with long hair but it pushes off his cap.

Then i made a bunch o pbj. Then cooked up the corn. He brought back two mini melons. The slogging belt came. Looks good. I hated wearing the one i had. Too big. The scissors look good but there was a tiny chip on the ceramic blade. I sent em to seller. They said it won't rust but it's not cool to have a chip right out of the gate. I think ill dock them a star for that. I mean it had a scissors cover plus came in plastic shell and still sports a chip.

Oh, i used a coloring secret agent on my hair tonight. The dang bottle slipped out of my hand and hit the wall. Splattered over the walls, door, and floor. That's really cute. The wall that i got repainted has 3 dark smears on it. Big disgusted sigh. I need a bathroom that's more camouflaged for messes like this.

Im suddenly getting sleepy. Rats. It's still early. Im to be crowned Peach Princess. Have to fight this.

I've always had a feeling something wasn't quite about this country and now I know just what it is. Whoville is a wholly owned subsidiary of Seuss land. Quite the Seuss sleuth, you are.

Dawn breaks astonishingly cool n refreshing in my beleaguered town in Whoville, U.S.A. A small subsidiary of Seuss Land. Mr x is yakking like an auctioneer, i can't think. Ah, he just went out to water the mint.

I ordered a neon green slogging belt to tuck my tiny radio. Also a baby blue ceramic scissors. Mr x was using a rusted one in the kitchen. To open micro packages etc. It was disgusting. I wanted something that wouldn't rust.

Then, id been hearing radio ads hawking summer produce. I started wanting peaches n corn. So Mr x hit store and there's peaches n corn in the kitchen.

1930s food is kind of weird. They'd make it into shapes like a bunny salad or something. A lot looks icky. But im sure i can find some stellar ones. Im so into the 30s decade i want to be closer.

It's slog day. Im charging up the tiny radio. Got to find my handled water bottle. The one without is very awkward to carry.

Read a Next Door ND post about the city next to us. And we're right on its border. The resident was complaining that the city had been going downhill past two years. She mentioned the fireworks, petty crime. They're constantly getting car break ins. But we get that here, too. Plus they're stealing catalytic converters from cars. And of course the porch bandits.

I would like to live in a small house with lil bit of land i could slog on. And nabes a telescope distance away. Gf said she might have to move to iowa if she can't get a roommate. And she only wants a mormon church member one. I don't know how that figures. She isn't mormon but her sis is. They have to wear some undershirt so they look more chaste.

Coincidentally, i was reading an article about cleavage. I don't care for it, myself. Looks a lot like buttage. And some of my pics are guilty. It's cause im petite and tops don't fit so well. Ill have to force myself to put on bandeau unmentionable to wipe out any cleavage.

Article was funny. Saying boobs sell cars and beer. Get used to it. It is what it is. But there are appropriate times. At work, no more than 1" should be shown. Haha, they gave an actual measurement. Otherwise HR could come round with a ruler and send you on your way.

We had this dentist who had a receptionist who didn't read the rules. Her name was mrs chesty...i mean Chester. Mr x said he didn't know where to look.

At night rules are loosened and the sky's the limit.

Got to pick my slog outfit and do my hair. My slog-a-thon awaits. I saw this vid of this woman who was near finish line of a race. She was determined to finish but she was literally falling all over the place. Stumbling forward on her knees, backwards on the buttage, sideways into the crowd. Maybe her ch was really low. But she was still determined to finish. My god, you know what she did? She Rolled herself last couple feet over the finish line. I was really impressed. This is a plucky do or die girl.

Yawn. Oops. Is yawning rude? I had a reg Joe yest and subsequently was awake till 2:30 a.m. i was watching ally mcbeal.

Im hearing fireworks. They said next city is doing it. But why? July 4 couple weeks away.

It was a desky day, finally. Opened the mail. Ran down a aaa bill. It's on auto pay. Finally found the credit charge on em. Invisible bills. Sheesh.

Today's movie was 11th Commandment. 1933. Folks fighting over a large inheritance. Didn't finish it. Had Alan hale who is Gilligan's skipper dad.

Was looking up the decades food. Maybe ill cook something if it strikes my fancy. Haha, mocks lil voice. Did we not forget the ramen waiting ever so patiently to be cooked n savored? Oh, you. Chucks a pink pillow at them.

Must crash. Fading fast. Eyes crossed... send bifocals.

That pic is me in the preserve in Sonoma county that we hiked. Where some animal growled at us. I thought it was monsieur ugly. I couldn't believe it. We walked slowly backwards away. Then, progressively faster. Also another time we saw a paw print in some wet soil. Looked mountainy to me. I said, thats it. We're going back. I can't hike in that kind of situation. No one else was around. We just had these metal pointy sticks. Later i bought some pepper spray.

Im having a party here. Listening to dana winner and having choc ensure. Think ill hit the honey roasted nuts next.

I had a really lame slog today. Had to stop five times to rest. The heat, the fact i skipped an extra day, plus tum was off. But i did slog every min of the hour. I didn't do a full body application of spf to wimp out. I enjoyed lying on the lounge the most resting. Temp was fine on the patio.

Gfs been em me every day. It's going to sting tomorrow being fathers day since she just lost her dad. Fortunately her sis is still staying with her.

Today watched Rich and Strange. Hitchcock 1931 movie. Amazingly complex and mature for such a vintage film. I liked it.

Mr x asked for a flow bee cut so that's on agenda tomorrow. His din tonight was mahi mahi patty, mushroom ravioli, and veg. Quite good.

    Hey, it's summer! Happy summer!

And the vacuum went V R O O M! I did most of the house. Just a lil LR left. And i cleaned out dust trap and that jagged piece wasn't there. The rogue piece is on the floor somewhere. Maybe under the stove.

I watched sabotage. A 1936 Hitchcock with sylvia sidney. Quite the ingenue. I can't spell that word right now!! Hitch starting to develop his suspense tricks. Quite involved movie.

Well i used the day to recover from monsieur sun. Did you read they caught a young monsieur ugly in a hood in sf? Eek.

Got to em gf again. She'll be off work 2 more weeks so i hope she writes every day.

Greetings mon ami! Im having a frosty slim fast. Earlier mr x made his fri omelet. Decided not to slog. Plus tum is a lil off. Plus noisy gardener for nabe Jake from state farm comes today. Fri is not a good slog day.

So, I'm vac. Maybe the whole house. That'll be my exercise. Ive got another Hitchcock movie picked out.

Mr x tried the stella artois. He said it's similar to Heineken. Im wearing a black skull spaghetti top and white shorts. I went thru an angry period once and wanted skulls, sharks, wolves. I still have them to use up.

Well, back to vac. I keep letting it cool so it won't overheat.

amazing as it sounds, i passed the dmv vision test. i was quite apprehensive in days leading up to it. every nite religiously doing the eye exercises. straining, straining to see, imagine, the dinky little letters. when it came time to test, i didnt even falter! i guess i could see the shapes good enough to recognize. mr x came with me. we had a 2.5 hour wait. he started grumbling part way thru the wait.

other day we were at macs. tried their new ice mocha. yum!

then yesterday hung out with bro for 5.5 hrs. he had these dumb rebate cards to redeem and he didnt need anything. so we went to walgreens, 2 cvs, and a tjs. i caught up on my shopping. we hit a macs and i tried the caramel macchiato. even better than the mocha. we got along very well. we had been estranged a long time. but now i suppose i will eventually move closer to him. he lives in san jose. not a place id like to be. maybe i can move nearby on the coast. would like some fog weather.

so i passed my big hurdle. can relax now and get back to normal. have to hire a drywall guy.

just finished a great read. about uber rich ladies and the scam perpetrated against them. a good frothy read. hey, its fall i believe! got bottle of pumpkin spice latte by starbucks. so curious to taste it.

welcome to fall! time to bring out the sweaters.

finally got back here. we had a plumbing event. on labor day mr x noticed water running off front lawn. a water main had broke. a small 2" gush was gushing out. mr x called water company who turned off water. then i called our go to plumber. a solution was to replace pipe to house. however id been wanting to replace the pipes one day. we had no hot water at bathroom sink and cold faucet was dribbling out. i knew it was a matter of time. then. we didnt have hot or warm water in washer. only cold. thats why my wash would take hours. so i decided to kill all birds with one stone. i replaced all pipes with copper. it took a total of 5 days. we had no water for 3 days. first day we used wipey dypes. 2nd day mr x warmed water jugs in sun and we bathed with a gallon of water. i helped mr x wash his hair on back lawn. i viewed the experience like camping. its doable, but im not keen on it. 3 guys were here. all spoke spanish. so i decided to learn spanish on phone app. itd be nice to be able to converse with them.

im doing eye exercises. plan on taking vision test next week. its better not doing close work, which ive done my whole life. reading way too much. better to look at scenery. i think ill continue the eye exercises.

we had really hot temps, then other day first rain of the year! it began with a thousand lightening strikes. scary, and weird for this area. it started brush fire couple towns over. also monsciour ugly was caught on film sliding his grotesquely ugly body under a residents fence. # the outrage

id been watching lovely old films, then the plumbing debacle. i have to bring in a drywall guy to patch up the holes the plumber left. already found my guy thru yelp.

back to school time, but kids already back. when did that start? and no telethon with jerry lewis. he really wanted to hit 100.

its been super hot here. sf broke record. something like 106. we were 107. i was taking 3 showers a day. would sit outside at nite for air, started watching my dvd player. watched, british intelligence, with boris karloff. such an intimidating man. it was a ww1 flick in blk/wh. got bit by mosquitos. its the gift that keeps on giving. next nite sprayed off on.

got couple more weeks for eye exercises then have to take dmv vision test. strangely enough, the pinhole glasses im using seem to help. before i couldnt see without glasses without closing an eye. now im able to read my phone without glasses. of course, i return to glasses asap.

the smoke from oregon and calif fires drifted down here. could smell it slightly. today its a strange totally overcast day, but warm.

your friendly, pink weather girl.

hi izzy! i know what you mean. its fun to read new blogs. kind of like toothpaste. if nothing to read, ill read the tube. tube tops. i thought those were the dumbest things. then my wing went out once and i couldnt finagle a bra. so had to get the tubes. so easy to put on. i have them in colors, of course. fuchsia, lime, orange.

im writing on lappy, my laptop. too onerous to text on my phone.

its been a long, hot summer. i look forward to fall temps when i can don my beloved denim jackets.

izzy, that was interesting telling of what a nuclear stress test is. what is the nuclear part? the dye? it sounds so high tech. nuclear. do you glow now:)

i need to clean my fans. some arent openable. need some kind of thin bristle brush.

a few cities over madame ugly and her spawn were spotted. search partys are out since they came down where schools are. i noticed their looks didnt improve over the summer.

did i mention mr x found a dead rat on back lawn. thankfully he disposed of it. he said it was 17" with tail. # ick

see you in september!

my newest project is trying to buy glasses ol.

last nights movie was a doris day musical. she can really dance. and tap. that is an odd dance move. the guy was doing it on a staircase. itd be kind of neat to suddenly break into a tap dance.

then i started a cary grant and rosallnd russell movie.

i made up 5 packs of indonesian ramen. made oodles of noodles. heard ramen is hot commodity in prisons. ramen wth an egg on top. # breakfast is served

i should try on my cargo shorts again. itll probably be another year till i can wear them. i sure love the pockets. i used to be a tomboy back in my tomcat days. but i grew out of it. i get more favorable responses when i dress ladylike.

We had to replace the water pipe to our house, years ago, when we had our own house. BF and a friend did the work.
A root from a tree had punctured the pipe...so the tree was felled.
The lawn never recovered from the line that had to be dug into it to access the pipe.

I bet its nice to have working water again!

OMG, the smoke from the fires drifted into Colorado so thick that it allowed one to look directly at the sun without seeing spots when looking away!
We could barely make out the shapes of the mountains through the heavy smoke.
When the sun had set and the moon had risen, the moon looked much like the sun had looked...only the sky was dark!
There was also a fire near Steamboat Springs, Colorado that grew from 2 acres to 419 acres in just a few hours...that also contributed to our smoky air.
The elderly and people with health issues are being advised to stay indoors with the doors and windows closed.
Its really kinda scary to see that much smoke in the air!

I'm glad to hear that the eye exercises and the pinhole glasses are working for you! ...I should try something like that since my aging eyes are failing fast...but I am lazy lately...maybe at another time.
