that's neat your grandma lived so close! my cousins live (or used to before they got grown up and moved out/went off to college) close to my paternal grammie, but she isn't the elvis fan anyways

yea the drive is definitely not as bad from there! i'm in maine, so it's suuuper far away lol but when i was about 22 or 23 i was hit by a drunk driver, head on collision, i had some injuries and also a sweet check about a year later for a huge chunk of change. i invited my mom to go on a road trip to graceland with me and i was going to pay, but she was seeing this dude and was all involved and turned down my offer so i haven't really planned it again. i had another opportunity when i was driving back to maine from nevada but the person i was with wasn't a big fan at all, so even though we went to the james dean place in indiana like she wanted, we did not go see my main man. maybe someday.
although, i heard they've been selling off more of the things there

my nana was too! and so was my mom, but it was a family friend, who sounded like elvis when he sang, who used to sing to me when i was in my mum's belly and i've loved elvis ever since! he died before i was born (6 years later), which makes me sad that i never had the chance, but my nana saw him perform in florida and then had tickets to a concert here in maine but he died right before that.
i always wanted to plan a trip to graceland with my mum. you ever been?
