You know, when you ask someone if they want to go into space, most will say YES without even thinking about it. But they don't know the downsides. I do. You'll have to constantly work out, mainly cardio, to keep your body up. Every day. For several hours. And you'll grow a few inches in height, but very painfully. And you'll always see flashing lights even when you close your eyes because of the radiation that your eyes are no longer protected against. And since your body goes a little crazy, you'll also develop a type of diabetes. So all in all, I'd prefer to stick to the ground, thanks... Be my usual boring self...

Specifically in the west generally, not only in Hawaii (which has highest cost of living in general, according to a variety of surveys and personal accounts)

Oh, that's true. Definitely true. I mean, I did well with finding a high amount of work in the summer because of my landscaping abilities, but only in the summer. If only I'd been working on my fire handling, I could have been a good entertainer during the winter, too.

    Nyoooo! Dear gawd...

Ooh, they're the same in Illinois too. I lived there for a while, and... gr. Thank God I avoided wooded areas and tall grasses and kind of obsessively wore long sleeves and pants even in the heat of summer.... I got the same illness just a couple times in Arizona, no less. Believe it or not...
But she's right, no ticks in Hawaii. So says one of our friends over here, who's lived there for a good while.

Oh, of course! I believe it's the intern that first begins to feel something for the victim, because he's so fogged by depressive painkillers he can't exactly feel much else.

    Ooooh, right... Right. *fidgets* Riiiight...

There won't be? I figured ticks pretty much existed in any wooded area. They sure as Hell did where I lived... And around here, but they're actually easy to avoid.

Yes, he has a purpose after a young intern enters the picture, working for a medical degree I believe.

He was all for it. Mainly because I made him wear a French maid dress just for kicks...

Oh, believe me, if it's woodsy, it's bugsy.

Oh, but it's permanent. You see, he's a .... failed amateur science experiment. Steel riggings in his legs have fused to his bones and are bolted from the outside in. Every move causes great pain and the medication he's on causes severe depression. But he'll have someone, soon enough. While he'll still be in pain, he'll have something to endure it for.

Ooh, thank you~! We put lots of planning into it. I mean, this year I said that I'd wear a dress because it'd be payback for Cole, but that's for next year. And it gives Sheila time to actually make it...

I see that! Really nice. Of course it is, it always is! *hugs*

Well, trust me, I've pretty much broken down every possible wall to hurt this character as much as I can. I'm... very cruel for that reason! At least for a while... I hope...? No, no, for good. I'm a bad bad boy...

Oh, temporary hair dye. It's packaged and applied as permanent but washes out after a few days. Dark hair is dyed black, and light hair is dyed gray or white. My hair is going to be white. And we've even got some colored contacts, and temporary non-toxic dyes for our mouths and skin.

I'd hope they're interesting, let me say that! Although I've found a tendency to torture my poor characters... One new one is in constant and permanent pain and depression, to say the least...

Although we've already got costume supplies. We're all going as a literal blast from the past, as if we've all stepped out of '50s and '60s movies. Black and white and gray~!

Ooh, really now? I guess I've really changed in the RP state, then. I have a variety of characters. Here are a few examples: Rune is an incubus, young and sweet and innocent in just about every way. He doesn't like what he is and has attached to a single human despite his kind's tendency not to do that, or to just kill the human.

Another is Char. A French graphic novellist with a dark outlook on the world, suspicious of everyone and intent on his work, to the point that he doesn't have much interest in people or relationships.

And then there's Leon. A notorious player as well as a known, if young, archeologist that's followed in his father's footsteps.

And then Leossa---his name meaning "Bones" in Italian. A butler and a mysterious figure, concerned for his masters, but odd and unnatural, with obvious physical mutations.

So I've basically got a huge plethora of characters nowadays!
