My ratties were so cute as babies. <3

Oh! And you have no idea what you've started by naming a mule 'Cricket'. XD We're gonna raise a Cricket army to take over Menewsha and confuse the hell out of people!

By 'we', of course, I mean myself and the people at the Assassin thread. ^_^ Care to join us there?

I called my dumbos 'the twins'.

Well, the problem with baby rodents, especially hamsters, is not to touch them until they're wandering around the cage on their own. If you touch them the mother will kill them.

Though the rats at the local pet shop always willingly let me play with their tiny babies and never harmed them after. Then again, I was familiar to them because I'd walk up there to play with the rats, and I'd bring my own rats to visit, and to let my rats pick out toys that I'd buy them.

Baby rats are adorable. <3 See?

Those are my two current rats, Haji (the black blaze) and Momiji (the beige hooded).

The tails really aren't that creepy. Once you hold a baby rat and you cuddle it and snuggle and love on it, the tails aren't a problem. I used to think they were creepy, then I played with a young rat and I fell in love and took him home. That's what's happened with all of my baby ratties. Always loved on them and bonded with them in the store.

Marked their tails with a sharpie, visited them over a course of several days, once they start coming to you when you put your hand in the cage full of dozens of rats, you know you have a really strong bond with them, and it's time to bring them home. ^_^

At least, that's how it worked with me and my rats. -Nods- Well, with the exception of the two dumbos I had. They were badly abused and wouldn't trust the owner of the store they were abandoned at. I managed to gain the trust of one of them and the second one responded well to me because the first one did, so the store owner just gave them to me because I could keep them calm and happy.

Rats aren't creepy at all. They're sweet and cuddly and very muchly full of love. I prefer them over hamsters. -Nods-

    Bunnicula? D'aww. I loved those books when I was a kid. ^_^

I have rats. Two of our kitties love the rats as friends, not food. We also have a rabbit, a mini lop-eared rabbit. Yeah, the rabbit scares the cats to death. XD Though one of the cats will curl up with him and they'll sleep together.

Our cats do that. It's just them being playful. ^_^

    It hurts my stomach.

Anyways, the cat loves all sorts of weird things. Especially french fries and tater tots. If it's a fried potato, he goes nuts for it. And he likes ketchup, too.

It was our oldest cat that ate it. He takes pride in eating strange things. The damn cat likes broccoli, without butter.
