I printed the statement! I hope it's the right one. Mr x is watching baseball. Still warm but my hair got cold so I popped on a beanie. I'm fading fast. I'm about ready to do another Amazon order but I better open that cafe maker first. Or Mr x will comment. And it's valid. You don't want to order stuff and not even open it. What if it's broken?

Bro showed me pic of his lawn. He said it reminded him of lil house on the prairie opening shot. The tall, waving grass. He picked up more free comic books. He thinks it's funny. There's nothing funny about a hoarder.

I was listening to church radio and sermon was about spare the rod, spoil the child. I don't know about that. He was advocating a rod. If you're going to do that, you should use your hand. There's the saying it hurts me more than it hurts you. Well then it should sting your hand too.

I was spanked with a paddle and even a belt. I can't believe my mom actually used it, but she did. It's like she lost her head for awhile. And later on we never talked about it. Yet I still member. Bro said he used to put a comic book or something in his pants so it wouldn't hurt. We also got penalties which affected our allowance.

Was I that bad when small? I don't even member what I did. She was big on talk back. And swearing. This is why I rarely swear. I'm aware of it. Also I don't like the current trend of profanity. It's offensive. This pastor guy was bragging they punished their kids for their attitude before it got to the act. Our TV privilege was taken away. No bike riding.

It was horribly noisy with the clang bangers. I got a headache. Think I'll hit it and listen to church radio. I pass out listening. I'll wake up and realize someone's talking. I wear earphones. Night!

I've used almost 30 GBS. Come on, mint! It is still very hot here. Would've been a bear to slog in. Plus I had a very productive day!

First off, I postponed Mr xs jury duty date to dec. I switched to paper bills on water bill. Hope that didn't mess my auto pay up. I opened a weeks worth of mail. I found that lost credit card statement ol but still haven't been able to print it. Prefilled Wally washer for Fri.

Then I looked thru 3 kitchen cabinets. I was refilling straw container. I need more long ones for my Joe. I had bought these big straws for protein drinks. It was huge bag of 2,500 there's still a huge amount left. I used to go to a small bulk store.

Anyway, it was a good day. It's still light out. Maybe I can do something more. Waiting to hear from gf. Now that she's back to work I only hear from her on her days off.

I've used 28 GBS and I have 6 days left on cycle. I didn't watch any you tube vids but I was watching this video metamorphosis on FB. It showed Lucille ball from birth till later. Fascinating. She actually was glamorous at times. Later I saw other ones like Ava gardener, David Bowie, Elton etc. What's interesting is when the person hits their stride. Some were cute babies, then grew less cute. Some were not cute but became attractive later.

I finally got back on track with the slogging. I'd been off 4 days. I tried again to get that new crop top on. No go. It would need mr x helping me. Then he'd ask why would I buy a too small top. So I won't go there. I'll try it on end of slog season. Late Oct. Nov. Hopefully I'll have burned off some weight.

I've been reading this woman's Twitter. She's moving from Arkansas to Nevada. What a great road trip. She'll be staying with her grandkid for awhile. She's traveling with a dog. I don't know if there's a hubby. She started Friday and today is Tuesday and she's in stagecoach, nv already.

She showed a shot of a bathroom. The doors were painted with super heroes! Batgirl, Supergirl, and poison ivy. I think ivy is a bad guy tho. It was the most beautiful doors I've ever seen.

I'm kind of toast. It was kind of hot while slogging but resting on patio would get breezy cool. And it was a 4 day break. I'm going to be hitting it soon.

I'm taking another slog day off. It's around 60• with high wind. Not my fave. But I've not been lame.

I ordered a 3 mo service for mint mobile! It's a very cute ad campaign. And I like cute. Mascot is a fox. Anyway, on my consumer Cellular I get 35 GBS, then they cut speed. I've already used 27 and have a week left. It's the unrepentant you tube music I listen to after the slog. So no more vids. I'm trying not to obsessively check my sites.

So I said, I have to get more GBS. I'm going to try to put it in my mint oukitel which would be perfect. It's $25/mo but you have to prepay 3 mos. Comes out to $1.67/gb which is a heck of a lot better than TracFone s $10/gb.

So I'm hoping this will work. I also went thru all my devices n chargers. I need 2 more. I'll add it to Amazon.

The vanilla bar was as you'd expect. It's vanilla. Vanilla is blander than chocolate.

I haven't done anymore desky. Rats. But the phone thing was very important. I also really need to vac. Hope my knee is having a good rest from the slogs but I plan to return tomorrow.

I went to grab a protein bar and saw two rows of new bars. Mr x had gotten 10 bars for me. Clif and something else. It'll be good for slogs.

I think I need a nap. Kind of stressful doing the mint order even tho it was ol. Oh, my last Amazon item coming today. It's a purple Cafe drip maker. I couldn't deal with the sieve pour over contraption. It's too slow. Takes almost 10 min to do a small cup o Joe. Then it's all cold. Going to see if I can clean out the holes more. Or else it needs finer ground Joe but in any case it's not working. This new maker received good marks. The pour over would work in a camping situation where there's no electricity.

Well I fried my head doing the order. May as well hit hay for awhile. Oh, I figured out the ensure price. Comes out to $1.11 a bottle at Costco. One case holds 30 cans. Mr x bought 10 cases.

I'm trying my new flavor protein bar. I'll rate it later. It's vanilla almond. Usually I pick chocolate, but this brand only has 3 flavors. Peanut butter chocolate, salted caramel, and this one. Seems to have crispy rice, raisins, and cinnamon. Tastes like oatmeal cookie.

Seems like a long day. As it turned out, the rain futzed out. Just very early in morn Mr x said it misted briefly. It was supposed to rain pretty good. And we need it. Mr x was watching baseball and said it was raining in Frisco. But they're about 30 miles away.

He was going to varnish porch bannister but planned to abort because of the rain. But since it didn't rain he prepped it by sanding. It's this wood bannister that gets sun beaten and desperately needs re varnishing each year.

I didn't take a melatonin and woke at the ungodly hour of 10 a.m. I thought day was shot but it turned out pretty well. My head was clear and I worked on some bills. Took my AAA car membership off auto renewal. I hate those things. Now the only things I have, well, on auto pay are utility bills. I'm going to try to go back to paper statements instead of ebills. If something happened to me, Mr x would be in a quandary since he doesn't understand the net.

I was aghast how many grocery receipts had piled up. I hit a snag because of the lost statement. I'm still trying to print it. Everything takes such a long time to do. It's hard to locate which statement it was. I had to request the past copy.

And did I mention the credit card alerts disappeared? Mr x used his card but the alert never posted. I had to set the alerts again. Was he hacked? Another worrisome event.

Then another Amazon order came today. The protein bars and that crop top. I was very disappointed. I couldn't get in the top. Be wary of Chinese made clothes. They're like 2 sizes too small. It could also be that I was tired. You need high energy to wiggle and struggle into those tight clothes. And I'm not returning it. That would be a pain. It is well made. I just need to be thinner.

Hi Izzy! I'm glad you were able to see most of your family on your bday. That sucks about bfs truck. Hope you and Sarah get over your cold soon.

Buck Rogers is on. I'm having an ensure. I had a kind of bum day. I was so tired I aborted the slog. Rats. I'm always so close to going off track.

So I added another year card to Tracfone. And I got another $50 discount. That was very cool. I'm set for the next 2 years.

I messed with my phones a bit. It's still not right, tho. I want a charger on every device. They all have different voltages. It's easier to have charger attached. I think I need maybe one or two more.

And I'll put my tablets aside. I only want to use them for business, when you need to see a full page. They are just too darn heavy to hold.

Soup was pea. Mr X's political pal dropped by. He showed him the new fence.

It's supposed to rain tomorrow. So I won't be slogging. Calif really needs the rain.

I put in order to Amazon and it's started to dribble in. Epsom salts came today. About 25# Mr x using it now so my supply is low. Then I'm getting more protein bars and I'm trying a L purple crop top.

Time for some Kindle n Fritos.

    Hi, Dazzy!
Thank you for the birthday greeting!
My birthday wasn't the best...though I did get to see my girls and all but my oldest grandkid. The BF's truck got broken into on my birthday and we haven't been able to contact the apartment manager about signing a new lease agreement since that day.
Sarah and I seem to have caught some mild symptoms of the cold that Hope brought with her for a weekend sleepover. But I guess stuff could always be worse and I am grateful that it's not!
I hope you continue to be well and that things go well for you!

Just had ensure and some Fritos. I'm still sleepy. But I have returned victorious. The $50 discount worked! I paid $77 instead of $125 I may try to add another year tomorrow. Can't find the answer, tho. What's max time you can add on?

This is how hard it is to find scrap haulers for treadmill. Our reg garbage service doesn't seem to take it. I'll have to look up the old brochures that used to pick up. It's just hogging up half the room. I want it gone.

Was reading about Zac Efron. He had morphed into this he hunk. But newest pic was proclaiming dad bod. He's been denying himself for years with no carbs. Life is too short not to have pizza! First I thought they were saying he'd had a face lift, but his face is just bigger. Just wear clothes, Zac. We who eat our pizza think you're kind of silly refusing it. You may be more cut, but us... More pizza!

I'm going down for the count. I had no desky day. But I did the TracFone which I had to do. Plus got the tremendous discount.

My new book is a true memoir, I believe. About this girl whose family is charismatic Catholic. The father is insane. He was going to kill his family of five. He brutally bashes the girl. This was back in the early 80s. It's interesting cause I'm interested in religion nowadays. Points out there are some whacky family cults all in the name of religion. Sometimes they're the worst.

I like when the sermon interprets a passage or reads it, since I don't want to read it. I like the personal stories. But I don't like the prayers they say. It rankles me. I don't like or understand prayers, in general. I've seen time after time of folks requesting prayers, giving prayers. And it's a nice feeling, I suppose, when someone wishes you well. But it doesn't do anything else.

This young girl had bike accident and was in dire shape. Her mom requested prayer. Thousands came by. Declaring healing. The mom believed in it. Guess what? She died. Did God hear? Prob. But he does as he pleases.

Nonetheless, religion still fascinates me. And here's one. There's this one program with brother n sister glass. I, naively, thought they were actual sibs! This also rankles me, this calling each other brother or sister.

They were speaking of creationism vs evolution in school. I suppose I was taught evolution. It didn't make an impression on me one way or the other. I never had a religious conversation at sch or at home. A real God didn't exactly exist. It wasn't until that fateful plane ride in Japan when I was a lil over 20 and the plane dropped 500' and I suddenly thought I was going to die that I was thrust into the god talk. I did pray that day. No atheists in fox holes. I bargained. I had hated life then. My school experience was awful. I was bulimic, doing some self harm. Even wanting to die... But not really. I told God if he saved me I would be good. As compared to what? I still, uncomfortably, remember that promise. Do no harm.

Slothful greetings from my overcast day in Overcoat Corners. A brisk tea drinking community in Calif.

I'm fooling around, as usual. We just had Mr X's Friday omelet. It's making me sleepy tho it shouldn't. There are no carbs in it.

I changed sheets on the bed. I'm doing my Tracfone refill. Have phone folder out. Got credit card ready. But I'm so sleepy. It expires on the 26th. Have some discount codes to try. One is $15 other is $50 the 50 sounds suspicious. They've raised prices too. A year service was $100 now it's $125 so $110 with discount. We're supposed to be happy we have discount even tho it's more than it was.

Gf got 2nd virus shot and her cancer surgery coming up early may. I think about her when I'm slogging. As she was my runner pal from HS. We had no idea how the future would unfold. I don't mention I'm slogging to her. I'll just say I sat outside and read.

Well time to get back to Tracfone. At least with the years service I won't have to be bothered about this for a year. And the phone is vg for calls.

So Mr x saw the jury duty notice. I'm going to postpone it for him for 6 Mo's. Around here, Stanford university said students must be vax to attend. Gf said Amazon was paying $40 if you got vax. She got sick last time from the shot. More sick than the actual virus she got. She's expecting to take a sick day. I read the taste testers like the ones that smell grapes or do wine testing are really messed up from losing sense of smell. At last count gf still couldn't smell her meals.

Temp is 61• wind light so far. So I'll slog. I've done nothing so far but park myself on the couch and wander sites. I waste a lot of time doing that. But when I'm having Joe what else can you do?

I saw on the USPS preview that Mr x has jury duty. It never ends, the interruptions. Maybe he'll want to postpone for 6 Mo's. Don't think anyone wants to sit in crowded jury room. My extended duty is hanging over my head for sept.

Got an em from my bank. They're doing video appts. I thought things were getting better.

Soup was gumbo. Good but pretty spicy.

Oh, so this pastor I like on the radio is Napoleon Kaufman. He's humorous and very dramatic. He used to be a naughty boy. Now is a preacher. Anyway, I googled him. He played professional football! Also, all around athlete. He's down in my neck of the woods but from Missouri so has a southern accent. I like it.

One of my outdoor muses says it's 43• but sunny so she's going to run. This is the inspiration I need. Others going in the deep end. I also saw a tweet I liked about someone wishing her Reece's peanut butter cup was as big as a cake. This is my Libran influence. I resonate with both extremes. I force myself to exercise.

Mr x watches Baywatch so I was googling some of the cast. Some of the women really lost their figure. It's hard to keep that standard up even if you set it. Then Mr x says I would be 200# if I didn't slog. That's an exaggeration. I only hit 140# when I was pigging out. But as a former athlete it did bother me. Plus it messes my health. Plus I had to buy bigger clothes. So, I try to shove myself out the door on a regular basis. Even tho I go frightfully slow, it's still helping.

amazing as it sounds, i passed the dmv vision test. i was quite apprehensive in days leading up to it. every nite religiously doing the eye exercises. straining, straining to see, imagine, the dinky little letters. when it came time to test, i didnt even falter! i guess i could see the shapes good enough to recognize. mr x came with me. we had a 2.5 hour wait. he started grumbling part way thru the wait.

other day we were at macs. tried their new ice mocha. yum!

then yesterday hung out with bro for 5.5 hrs. he had these dumb rebate cards to redeem and he didnt need anything. so we went to walgreens, 2 cvs, and a tjs. i caught up on my shopping. we hit a macs and i tried the caramel macchiato. even better than the mocha. we got along very well. we had been estranged a long time. but now i suppose i will eventually move closer to him. he lives in san jose. not a place id like to be. maybe i can move nearby on the coast. would like some fog weather.

so i passed my big hurdle. can relax now and get back to normal. have to hire a drywall guy.

just finished a great read. about uber rich ladies and the scam perpetrated against them. a good frothy read. hey, its fall i believe! got bottle of pumpkin spice latte by starbucks. so curious to taste it.

welcome to fall! time to bring out the sweaters.

finally got back here. we had a plumbing event. on labor day mr x noticed water running off front lawn. a water main had broke. a small 2" gush was gushing out. mr x called water company who turned off water. then i called our go to plumber. a solution was to replace pipe to house. however id been wanting to replace the pipes one day. we had no hot water at bathroom sink and cold faucet was dribbling out. i knew it was a matter of time. then. we didnt have hot or warm water in washer. only cold. thats why my wash would take hours. so i decided to kill all birds with one stone. i replaced all pipes with copper. it took a total of 5 days. we had no water for 3 days. first day we used wipey dypes. 2nd day mr x warmed water jugs in sun and we bathed with a gallon of water. i helped mr x wash his hair on back lawn. i viewed the experience like camping. its doable, but im not keen on it. 3 guys were here. all spoke spanish. so i decided to learn spanish on phone app. itd be nice to be able to converse with them.

im doing eye exercises. plan on taking vision test next week. its better not doing close work, which ive done my whole life. reading way too much. better to look at scenery. i think ill continue the eye exercises.

we had really hot temps, then other day first rain of the year! it began with a thousand lightening strikes. scary, and weird for this area. it started brush fire couple towns over. also monsciour ugly was caught on film sliding his grotesquely ugly body under a residents fence. # the outrage

id been watching lovely old films, then the plumbing debacle. i have to bring in a drywall guy to patch up the holes the plumber left. already found my guy thru yelp.

back to school time, but kids already back. when did that start? and no telethon with jerry lewis. he really wanted to hit 100.

its been super hot here. sf broke record. something like 106. we were 107. i was taking 3 showers a day. would sit outside at nite for air, started watching my dvd player. watched, british intelligence, with boris karloff. such an intimidating man. it was a ww1 flick in blk/wh. got bit by mosquitos. its the gift that keeps on giving. next nite sprayed off on.

got couple more weeks for eye exercises then have to take dmv vision test. strangely enough, the pinhole glasses im using seem to help. before i couldnt see without glasses without closing an eye. now im able to read my phone without glasses. of course, i return to glasses asap.

the smoke from oregon and calif fires drifted down here. could smell it slightly. today its a strange totally overcast day, but warm.

your friendly, pink weather girl.

hi izzy! i know what you mean. its fun to read new blogs. kind of like toothpaste. if nothing to read, ill read the tube. tube tops. i thought those were the dumbest things. then my wing went out once and i couldnt finagle a bra. so had to get the tubes. so easy to put on. i have them in colors, of course. fuchsia, lime, orange.

im writing on lappy, my laptop. too onerous to text on my phone.

its been a long, hot summer. i look forward to fall temps when i can don my beloved denim jackets.

izzy, that was interesting telling of what a nuclear stress test is. what is the nuclear part? the dye? it sounds so high tech. nuclear. do you glow now:)

i need to clean my fans. some arent openable. need some kind of thin bristle brush.

a few cities over madame ugly and her spawn were spotted. search partys are out since they came down where schools are. i noticed their looks didnt improve over the summer.

did i mention mr x found a dead rat on back lawn. thankfully he disposed of it. he said it was 17" with tail. # ick

see you in september!

then i started a cary grant and rosallnd russell movie.

i made up 5 packs of indonesian ramen. made oodles of noodles. heard ramen is hot commodity in prisons. ramen wth an egg on top. # breakfast is served

i should try on my cargo shorts again. itll probably be another year till i can wear them. i sure love the pockets. i used to be a tomboy back in my tomcat days. but i grew out of it. i get more favorable responses when i dress ladylike.

We had to replace the water pipe to our house, years ago, when we had our own house. BF and a friend did the work.
A root from a tree had punctured the pipe...so the tree was felled.
The lawn never recovered from the line that had to be dug into it to access the pipe.

I bet its nice to have working water again!

OMG, the smoke from the fires drifted into Colorado so thick that it allowed one to look directly at the sun without seeing spots when looking away!
We could barely make out the shapes of the mountains through the heavy smoke.
When the sun had set and the moon had risen, the moon looked much like the sun had looked...only the sky was dark!
There was also a fire near Steamboat Springs, Colorado that grew from 2 acres to 419 acres in just a few hours...that also contributed to our smoky air.
The elderly and people with health issues are being advised to stay indoors with the doors and windows closed.
Its really kinda scary to see that much smoke in the air!

I'm glad to hear that the eye exercises and the pinhole glasses are working for you! ...I should try something like that since my aging eyes are failing fast...but I am lazy lately...maybe at another time.
