It's 53• out. Bit chilly. I'm hanging around waiting for a bit more warmth. I do have a thin as tissue bike jacket of Mr X's. If it's super cold, I could wear it till I warm up. This week increases to 35 min. I'll have to change my phone's timer. It's been working very well. I'm glad I didn't have to buy a stopwatch.

I also want to check this fish weigher Mr x gave me. If it does ounces, maybe I won't need to buy a postage scale. Speaking of postage my fed check has not been cashed. I'm getting a bit concerned as the ink was not gel. Maybe it never reached destination. I'll have to check last year's. See when checks were cashed. I told gf about gel pens and she said it happened to a friend of hers. The woman had mailed a check in a mailbox. A rogue fished it out, washed out name, and inserted his. Tried to cash it at Bank. But something looked suspicious and he was caught.

My new phone and decafe expected in. Plus bean with bacon soup. Soup today was a cream one.

Yesterday I skipped the bike and worked cleaning off DR table. I put items in containers to return to upright sitting position. I went thru 3 cases of earrings and plucked out some tarnished and ugly ones. I didn't have an extra bag of trash to dump. I guess that's good. I'm working on smaller items now.

I tried the new 75 gr bath pouf. Mr x had commented he really liked it. I didn't. It's way too big for my hand. I need both hands to hold. I'll let Mr x have the other two. He also commented on my colour. It's fuchsia with periwinkle blue. I also wrote Amazon review. I gave it 4 stars. It is well made. Too smooth for me. I like a rougher texture. So I'll need to look for smaller pouf. This Amazon quest never ends. I guess this is what's called shopping. Cause I don't do stores anymore.

Mr x snooped at clang bang site today. He said there's an anchor fence around but he went in thru Corona Joe's side. Practically whole house is gone. He said they've put up planks to keep remaining studs from collapsing.

Mr x was at that home depot other day with Corona. There was some pallet jack parked in front of where Joe wanted to be. Joe said, look at this, blocking my way. Mr x says just watch this. He jumps on Jack and moves it. Joe is aghast. The pallet guy comes racing over. You can't do that! Mr x says I have a license. Guy says, but you don't work here! Mr x is not a follow the rules guy. If it says, do not enter, he does! He plays with cops. Most unusual guy.

I better mess with my hair now. It was a day from bang hell yesterday with the drilling. Today has slowed to a low roar.

Gray sky greetings from my hunkered down abode in Hobbitsville, Calif. A never-ending battle ground in u.s.a. clang bangers are doing their thing. Mr x has gone to aaa, I presume. No doubt he was first in line. I'm having Cafe maker Joe. There is one filter left. I tried on the two raincoats. They are actually cute. Identical. One in pink, other blue. And they fit. I'll have to inspect later, but for now they've escaped the dumpster's gavel.

I planned to wash patio furniture as they are filthy, but it's cold n dark. Could even rain. In fact showers expected tomorrow on my slog day. If I skip it, the next day is actual rain. I don't look forward to it. I used to run in all seasons. I ran in pouring cold rain, in a swimsuit even, because it's waterproof. My arms got numb from the cold. But I've turned into a big wussy pink cotton candy baby now that melts with a drop. My Kleenex gets wet, sunglasses get wet and harder to see. I'll have to put radio in plastic bag. The belt pouch is waterproof. It's just messy. And cold. I hope I don't wuss out. I need the exercise. I had half pbj and Chex mix last night. Ch too high today. Noted. One or the other. I had already cut some pbj in quarters. On Twitter a disabled woman I follow mentioned her ch was 591. Coma can occur at 600.

Since it's so dark I think I'll do chores today. Prefill Wallace, weed earrings, put stuff away. My kitchen counters are also really cluttered.

I gave Mr x a huge loofah puff and showed him how to use it with gel. He liked it. I gave him the dark green one. I'm getting the multicolored one.

So I put down my capital one debit card to buy yesterday's stuff. I knew it wouldn't cover purchase. But I want to use debit amount up. I figured they'd use up the capital one funds then tap another I have listed. They did not. They put total amount on the Amazon store card I have. So, they don't do split payments. How tiresome. I'll have to order stuff under the debit amount. What happens when I get to 33 cents? I'll forever have an unusable balance. I'll have to transfer it ol back to savings account and back to my hometown bank. Doable, but a pain.

Mr x back from AAA. Went fine. Pesky queuing outside, masks. I hate this virus.

Dang concrete drilling.

Just had my pbj. Soup today was cream of broccoli. I visited the garage pantry to look at the soup. I saw the spiral bulbs but it was too dark to see. I was already using a flashlight.

I wanted to see if there were bean with bacon soup. There was one. So I ordered a small case of 12. I really like it. Particularly with an egg in it. But Mr x doesn't do that.

So I ordered the soup, more decafe. A different brand. And I got a new phone! It's a mint colored oukitel. Got pretty good ratings. Supposed to have a lot of storage. I seem to have hit the limit on my redmi. It keeps telling me to delete stuff.

I have my business and photo editing there. Plus Kindle. Blah blah blah. I need to have a separate business phone. That'll be the new one maybe. I'll leave all the photos and editing apps on redmi.

My phone's are still not settled. A heck of a lot better tho. Those wretched cords and chargers everywhere. But it's not done yet. I hope I can print off new phone.

Anyway, tomorrow is an inn day. I've got mr x all set up to go pay my car reg fee. It's not even due until May. I haven't forgotten the washer. Must work on that. You have to stay up on things because at any time an obstacle could pop up.

For instance we're leisurely looking forward to an Airbnb vacay. That entails numerous ocd details. But scant days before, the garage door went out. That was a horrendous inconvenience. I had to go into Yelp mode and find a repair guy.

Gf was anticipating her annual apt inspection. She has lots of cleaning to do. But then the cancer and virus diagnosis. Luckily inspection seems to have been shelved because of the virus. Also, I haven't seen the junk hauler ads here. To get rid of treadmill. But I'll continue to clean. Table still a mess and underneath the table grew back.

Today I was searching in closet for any clothes to dump but there were none. But I checked front closet and found two obsolete raincoats of my mom. But I have my own raincoats.

I almost bought an earring. One was a unicorn lever back with purple stones. One was multicolored enamel hearts. But I didn't. I actually should weed my earrings. Some pieces I'm tired of seeing tarnished. I had cleaned and polished all my earrings. I go to pick one and I'll see the tarnish has come back before I've even had a chance to wear it again.

Getting sleepy from allergy pill. Night!

Music was terrible last nite. Like animal sounds, banging. High pitched shrieking. That is not your mother's classical music. Some kind of Avant Garde stuff. It was awful.

I'm not averse to experimental. I have couple CDs of this woman with extremely large range. Very odd.i can't member her name, of course. It's something unusual.

Nonetheless, it's not sleepy time bear music. I was scrolling around in the dark trying to find something else. It's an old keyboard phone with FM radio. But these things are digital. You can't simply dial in. You have to input. I'll have to work on this later.

Mr x is weed whacking and raking. Someone will prob stop to talk. He's a magnet.

It's very sunny but even colder than yesterday. Brr. I'm wearing my high necked scuba swimsuit and shorts lately. The longest ones I have.

I think I have maybe that autism quirk where you can't stand certain clothes and how they feel. It's like a huge existential itch. When I slog, I must wear sleek tight clothes. Otherwise they flap, wave, bunch. If shorts are too long, they'll drag, pull. I have tons of long shorts but they're not an option. Anything knee length will pull.

Then, I have a big prob with a falling strand. Sometimes a hair would fall on my back. But I'm chock a block covered with SPF. It sticks. And itches. And drives me crazy. My arms aren't long enough to reach back. Plus I don't want my hands all sticky. I got to carrying a long comb so I could reach back and try to dislodge. Well, that will have to be curtailed with the clang bang gang looking down. I'll look like I have fleas. Darn these double decker houses. Us in the single story houses lose our privacy. We need to be able to scratch in peace!

I'll be slogging again. Two days in a row. Not my preference. But it is a Sunday. No bang crew. Of course the kangaroo jumpers could be there shrieking. One was jumping yesterday when I was out. But it was a single jumper. I just heard the springs. It's when they gather, and start to shriek.

School starting up again. Oddly, the lower grades are going first. These next door are older. Mr x thinks the girl is perhaps 10, the bro 6. I don't know. I'm rarely out front.

Well, better check out Twitter and all the news that's fit to print.

Evening salutations! I made it out for my slog. It was nice because the clang bang gang didn't come. It was about 62• lil chilly.

Political nabe dropped by to chat with Mr x. They talked for 1 3/4 hrs at the door. Nabe was telling an army story. There was a guy sleeping. Must have been pretty deep. They carried his cot into the street. A truck driver saw what they were doing and chimed in. He inched his behemoth inches from the cot. Then turned on headlights and leaned on the horn. This story cracked me up. I bet the guy is still retelling it today.

Wrote another long em to gf. Usually I only write her once a week cause she works, but she's in quarantine. She goes out to get her mail at 2 a.m.

I'm kind of tired. This is just the first week back to slogging. And I plan to go out again tomorrow.

It rained a lil last night. Power went out briefly. Blew all the clocks and stoves. Mr x grumbled.

Soup was cream of mushroom. And din was pasta and mixed veg.

I've been going to bed with classical music on. I really like it. Nice segue to sleeping.

Today turned into a bum day. Rats. After the delicious omelet I didn't feel like moving. Just the thought of having to do my hair was too much. I had picked out slog outfit and even opened protein bar. I put it back in fridge.

So be it. I don't like bum days but there it is. I think my allergy pill didn't help either. It suppresses the sneeze factor but also your motivation.

So I worked on car registration. I looked up info and Mr x called to confirm. I still hate talking on the phone. Question was the procedure. Do you need to make an appt to pay car registration? Appears not. AAA has also started charging for using a credit card. So we'll pay by cash. Luckily I have that ATM stash. So he plans to go Mon. I'll have to get paperwork ready.

Heard from bro. He was telling me the novel 1984 will be cancelled. I really liked that book. A state run, dreary, regimented society. It resonates with me. This is why I dislike mcmansions and what they stand for. I was raised with hand me downs. Or used stuff. If new, it'd never be relinquished until it was on its last legs. Hence my behaviour with Wally. You think a mcmansion owner would stand for a leaky washer? They don't appreciate the small things or pleasures, I believe. In 1984 cafe is a great treat. There's a big scene where they enjoy this tasty treat. Compared to slumping into Starbucks and ordering an expensive Joe. There was this scene in little house on the prairie where the mother has no money for Xmas treat but has some sugar so she makes sugar canes. The girls savor those canes making them into a point. That is what I like. Making simple treats exquisite.

So I ran off to Amazon and bought the Kindle book of 1984 and animal farm. I've read the latter, also. A double whammy by George Orwell. For 49 cents! That's a fantastic bargain. I've already started reading it.

Gf said she's feeling a bit tired. She's in strict quarantine now.

I planned a chore day when I realized I wasn't going to slog. But that doesn't sound appealing either. I think a nap is in order. I found better earphones for the radio. Last night I kept it on when I went to bed.

I did not have a spare bulb on the table. I will put some spiral ones there.

And that's all there is. Messrs clang and bang are here.

Mr x has gone to bed. That's rare. This classical music on TV is too loud. That's better. Just had my ensure and Chex mix. I found the half pbj and ensure is too much. I'll have to cut them into quarters.

The lamp just went out. Wonder what bulb it is. I don't think I have any more fluorescents. Have the spiral and led.i don't want to be changing bulbs now. It's past midnight. What I had done was leave spare bulb on lamp table. We'll see if I had the foresight.

The Verizon bill was zero!! It's the end of that dilemma.

I postponed jury till sept.

Got an em from gf. She has the virus! She lost her sense of smell. She's with Amazon and they immediately let you go for two weeks with pay. So far she feels ok. But her cancer surgery will be postponed for six weeks.

I think she maybe got it in lunch room. She wears her mask everywhere. Disinfects, sanitises. Even before this virus she was germ phobic. As is Mr x.

I was inputting radio stations on an obsolete phone. And I was listening to some sweet classical music during my nap. I didn't want to get up. Usually I'm restless. I can't settle with TV, even books. Yet lying back I could focus on the music. And I didn't crave this phone. I'm rather an addict. But some stations get static and you have to fine tune it. Annoying.

Better look at lamp and hit it. It's omelet and another slog day coming up. Night!

Sunny bright greetings from my noise laden st in Commotion Alley, Calif. A high decibel area in northern cal. What is it today? Well, clang bang woke me up. But hopefully the concrete drilling has ceased. It's gardening day close by. Noisy buggers. Folks hate those leaf blowers. What a concept. You don't pick up the leaves. You blow them towards your nabes property or into the st.

I have two more cafe filters. Then I'm dumping the maker. I had bought this ridiculous package of filters, like 750. It's taken me years to use them. And the maker is limping along. It wouldn't shut off after brewing. I had to put a kill switch on to shut power. Even then I didn't trust it and would pull the plug. I really limped it to the end.

Today will be desky. I saw that my Verizon bill is coming today. Hurrah! On the statement I just did I put a notation next to the entry... Your days are numbered, son! It had gone from $106 then $77 when I ported out a line. I will certainly bask in satisfaction if it's the last bill. I hate these businesses where you have no control over your account.

Oh and I will postpone the jury duty. It's for next week. Not sore from the slog yesterday. That's good. I was wrong the drilling has begun. And Mr x telling me a tiresome TV summary. Got to escape to back room soon.

It's kind of chilly. Just opened a hand warmer. Slog went well. Nabe kid next door was jumping on trampoline. Clang bang gang were banging. After my 30 min slog I walked around a bit. Feels good to move again.

Corona Joe called and they went to home Depot again. Got gardenia fertilizer. He showed mr x his house. Then he said he almost fell in the bath. He had a towel in the tub and slipped backwards. Mr x said you should put a grab bar in. He said we have one. Corona said, I know. I put it in! Seems Corona was friends with our houses former tenants. So Corona doesn't need to see the inside of our place. He knows it! It was a widow who lived here and preventive devices are in place. Like the bath grab bar. And wooden railings on porch steps and garage steps. The garage bar saved Mr xs hide once. He was wearing slippery dress shoes and slipped on the stairs. He grabbed the railing. I always use the railing going down because of my eyes.

It is cloudier today. Sprinkles coming up in a few. This weather is what sf weather is like. Perpetually gray. Except they get this magnificent fog in the afternoon. You always need to dress warm in SF. Even if it's warm during the day, it'll turn by night.

I had the allergy from aitch e double toothpicks yest. I was doing banky. Got a bit done. Opened mail and more bills came. It's hard to catch up. My Amazon package came. I'll try the new protein bar before my slog today.

Mr x just left to go to home Depot with Corona Joe. Yest they had gone. Joe needed bags of fertilizer for his tomatoes. Mr x had gotten tomatoes a few days ago and planted them. He doesn't let the tomatoes grow under his feet. Later they sat in Corona Joe's garage and had a beer. Stella Artois. Something like that. Corona was telling Mr x of his daughters new bf. His parents owned a jewelry store in Hillsborough. That's a few city's down. Extremely tony. The celebrities would live there. Anyway, one day the parents were held up at gunpoint. They exited business soon after.

I heard Texas lifting mask restriction. Well, it's been a year. How long can society go on if you can't work? You'd still want to wear one perhaps but you couldn't be forced to. Or going to a Disneyland and after every bite you have to raise mask. I would never go until things are back to normal. They say flu cases are practically nil which is one pink lining.

The noisey reconstructed house across St hit the market. It's a luxury house so Uber expensive. Then I noticed a house a couple blocks away for sale. We used to pass it on our walks. The house pics were weird. First off there was a pic of the st sign. Pic of an ugly alley. The water heater. Open doorway that showed worn wood floors. Another alley pic with yellow tape hanging down. Was someone killed there? It always seemed deserted. Mr x said he waved to an old woman who lived there.

No pics of shiny kitchen appliances. I suppose pics are saying this is a fixer upper house. Prob tear down. It could be magnificent tho. It's a huge corner lot. If I were the nabes, I'd be quaking in my pink boots.
