That's quite alright, you had bigger fish to fry. Glad you're back with us, though.

I've, in the past few days, seen references to the NBC show Community on British websites. Has it finally made it's way across the pond? Or does it just have some sort of buzz? I hope it eventually makes it there, it's an example of American comedy done freshly.
Also, I saw a Dylan Moran interview on the website The List the other day. I probably could have gotten that link for you :/

I have one you can borrow, if you would like. Though it needs a good cleaning and a new ribbon.

A very fertile field, that age group. And it sounds like something that would be popular with them as well.

So it will probably be a longer novella length, rather that a picture book, yes?

A Book! That's terribly exciting. Details, or is it all underwraps?

I think I'd still live in Hackney, as it's one of the cheapest areas. But preferable one of the more gentrified areas, like Stoke Newington.

The wagon jolted on ... I don't think I was homesick. If we never arrived anywhere, it did not matter. Between the earth and that sky I felt erased, blotted out. I did not say my prayers that night: here, I felt, what would be would be.

May 2007.

Bush was President. Blair was PM. Sarkozy newly elected.

You were 3 years younger.

I was 15, stomping angrily and adolescently about.

Then I joined Mene, and became even more of a recluse.

Happy 3rd anniversary, me.

So we watched Disney's Peter Pan in Psychology to examine the media's influence on gender roles. (Wendy = Mother etc etc)
Not only did it portray Injuns (Native Americans) very racistly, but it made me think about my uncertain future.

It's a scary time.
Waiters are offering me wine lists.
Employees in petrol station shops are asking me if I'm buying petrol.
My drinks are no longer served with straws. T_T

I'm only 17! I don't want to be an adult.
I turn 18 in June, and in September I'm off to university... I've never even had a part time job. :gonk:

Plus, I thought I looked 14. >.>

Lol, I have a massive forehead and my side fringe (side... bangs?) looks like a comb-over. xD

I had to answer this essay question:
"How does Hardy present the supernatural in his poetry?"

Now, I picked out a couple of poems about ghosts, and the dead talking, as well as a poem where he talks to God.

The teacher sternly said to me, clearly not impressed, that "religion does not count as the supernatural."
I shrugged, and reported the verdict back to my atheist family and we all had a good, cynical laugh. xD

There was chaos at my school's bus station today. One of the buses had accidentally reversed into a hedge and got stuck.

In other news:

- re-reading my old diaries freshened some horrid memories :(
- I can't wait to see my favourite comedian of many years live for the first time (Bill Bailey) :boogie:
- I want an Obama thong. :eager:

Nice. Sounds like something I'd do just to piss off a teacher I didn't like.

I'm going through the same quarter-life crisis. I'm 17 now and I definitely don't feel like getting a job and joining the real world yet. I know exactly how you feel.
