I know Shiki either doesn't realize it or want to admit it, but Cade really is one of the most powerful vampires on the planet. He's respected and feared by all who know of him, and all supernaturals who meet him. Just don't go saying or doing something that would be terms for Shiki's death, because I don't know how I'd avoid it without making Cade look weaker than he actually is, taking away from his character. Cade can sense how Shiki feels, so it's hard for me to get around Shiki's posts sometimes. Cade would rather rip his throat out and be done with it all, you know?

I know exactly how that goes.

I think it's hard sometimes to pay attention to Shiki when there's a lot going on, since he doesn't get involved or talk, lol. It's very easy to 'glance at the quiet guy standing at the edge of the scene' and keep going. I thought this would be a good way to get him involved.
