I thought I was finally getting a handle on the chaos here. I did have the voting packet and writing out gfs card to do. Yest did the voting. Had to look up a lot of the candidates. I have to work on card next. Check what stamp prices are. I still have numbered stamps to use up. I put in another Amazon order. More bath salts and 4 more running tops. I will have bought 15. But that kind of bugs me. I like even numbers. Might need another one. Then I'll have 8 each of two styles. I'll be set.

So I get an em from gf. She's got some extra time. She comes up here to visit sis. But she wants to drop by here to bring me mags. I'd rather her do that than mail me them. It'll be great to see her. But now I have to clean my place! I have to mop the bath. Haven't done it since Xmas when I last saw her. Now I'm feeling burdened again. I'm getting more lazy. She'll be coming next week. Gives me some time. When she used to come every week to walk, I actually mopped and spruced house every week!

We walked today for 1.5 hrs. Got up to 76• I was lagging a bit and cut it short.

Oh! Heard monsieur ugly attacked a woman and her dog in upper northern California. She fought it off. It was brutal. The cat wouldn't let go. When we were hiking, Mr x used to carry his Bowie knife.

Finished the thriller book. She packs a gun, but keeps it in her office or car trunk. That's really helpful. That's why I like reacher better. He's prepared. The women fighting the cat used pepper spray. Didn't seem to work that well. I would carry that. I don't want to carry or use a knife. Tho the cat would be using his teeth and claws.

I'm on I is for Innocent now. Still listening to Jack reacher books. I got busy. But I think I caught up some. And I did my 3 rd slog. The first time out I felt like a new born deer. At one point today I did it a tiny bit faster. Plus I went up a hill. Mr x was pushing his scooter up it. Then I had to sit on sidewalk to rest a bit. I wasn't sick but why push things. The final block was great.

I ordered more running tops today. I thought you weren't going to get more clothes? Aren't you always complaining about bins and sorting thru seasonal stuff? Yes. But I like a good running wardrobe. I found this cool sleeveless, high neck top. Bought one and didn't like it. It washed funny. Was heavy. Yet dried ok and was light again. So I'm getting all the colors. At least these are very lightweight. Doesn't take much room.

I have to find my running shorts bag. I seemed to have so few. What, the orange one again? Then I realized these were the longer shorts. I have shorter ones for warm weather. And it's warmer right now.

I had to dig in bins to find a bday card for gf. A Xmas one, too. That'll be here before you know it. She talked of planting tomatoes. But she's sup to be moving to Iowa! I don't know why she wants to give up another year. Her rent increased. This is why she's moving.

I had to buy more Epsom salt. Mr x is using my stash and it goes down quickly. Half cup a bath. So a cup a day.

Tried a new kpod. Mauds. I really like it. Better than my usual Bradford's.

    Hiya Dazzy!
    Thanks for the birthday wishes!
I have been well, but somewhat overwhelmed with anxiety and depression. I am hoping that the warmer the weather gets, the more excuses I have to not stay indoors. I am going on my 200th day without a cigarette...after quitting Cold Turkey! ...but now I have become noticeably fat! ... Depression goes hand in hand with overindulgence when it comes to certain foods for me!
I hope things are going well for you! Many ((Hugs)) and much Love!

I dumped that verismo cafe machine I picked up free. The guy really pressured me to take it. But I wasn't able to secure a supply of pods. It's a particular kind. The machine is basically obsolete. So I dumped it in the trash. Feels good!

We walked 1.5 hr today. Got to 70• beautiful flowers are blooming.

I've been sorting thru my phones testing them. Bought two more TracFone flip phones. Altogether I have 5.

I did desky yest and opened a weeks worth of mail. Everything was on hold while I wrastled with moving the IRA. I was able to do it ol.

In audio books I'm on G is for Gumshoe.

Today was the day I sorted device accessories. I dumped those cheap stock cords that come with phones, obsolete port cords, old chargers. It was great. Yet, up to now I couldn't do it. Saving it just in case.

But I'm reading this book where character is a hobo. That's what he calls himself. He owns nothing. Not even a change of clothes. He just buys new, cheap ones.

It gave me a new perspective. And now it does feel good. And gf passed her apt inspection. She dumped a lot of stuff. Her cat loves the space to run. I fear she'll hoard it up soon, tho. It's her personality quirk.

Just been busy here. Monitoring the Kaiser. I think it's ok. I was able to order my meds. I had to do a chat session with consumer Cellular yest re billing. Took screenshots. Will have to review. I'm thinking, ok, that's done.

Then other day I opened letter from capital one. They are going out of the IRA business and farming it out to millennium trust. I looked it up. Terrible reviews. So I've been researching how to move that IRA. It's a tricky business. I think I'll have to call it in, drat it all. There's no option ol.

Then my back's been super stiff. Maybe the weird weather. Been cold, then warm. I fed Wally for 6.5 hrs other day and that was quite painful lugging bins of clothes. I hadn't been doing my situps. So I started back and it's better. Planning to do my first slog tomorrow. I haven't mentioned it to Mr x tho, in case I wimp out. My Tums been bad too.

Today I got some vac done and gathered all my devices which were getting out of hand. So I've gotten some stuff done. Sorted more clothes. It's almost done. I finished the haagen daaz for doing taxy. See it next year!

So it seems my green lipstick charger does still work, but I have to use the power button now. Weird, but that's ok. It was thisclose to being tossed.

Put in another Amazon order. Getting more colorful wall chargers and some strange USB gadget. I think it converts the USB b to a c. The c is far superior. It's an oval shape. Goes in upside down or the other way. The b one has a distinct side and is difficult to insert. Ports are often damaged and then you get a bad connection. I think they should phase them out.

Sue girl had a tripping accident the other rainy day. Exiting a car she slipped on curb and gashed her head on a concrete planter. Had to get a CT scan. Seems ok tho.

Today is a desky day. Still catching up from before taxy project. Other day I finally got the car stuff sorted. The AAA cards, reg, insurance cards swapped with the old. Mr x put sticker on car.

I feel sick. We just walked. I cut it short. But we still did an hour. I have a headache, my tum is not happy. It was cold. I had to wear a jeans jac and leg warmers.

Tomorrow's sup to rain so we walked today. Some Alaskan front coming down. We do need the rain.

I finished the thriller audio. Quite jarring. The main character p.i. was in two bomb blasts. That work is incredibly dangerous.

She has such a solitary life. An orphan. Married twice. No GFS. Occasional guy friends with benefits. No pets. No hobbies except running.

I liked her lifestyle cause she's very ocd in relating precisely what's she's doing. She says she has her cereal. I like knowing that. Did she make bacon and eggs? Just have Joe? She'll comment how her half n half is always on the edge of extinction.

But this book was so jarring. She's going to have hearing issues in the future. The time she used a gun in a garbage can. And now these two bomb blasts. Bombs!

Her place was bugged and she was outraged which is hilarious as she is always eavesdropping and lying to others in pursuit of answers. She says, they must've picked my lock. Well, She picks locks!

I was just about to toss my green lipstick power charger. It wouldn't charge. I tested various cords. But wanted to see product on Amazon. It didn't seem I had it that long.

Reviews mentioned a power button. What power button? It hadn't needed one. I pressed it. It lit up. I'll have to do more tests. What am I? A scientist?

I received about 4 letters from Kaiser today. Telling me my CC had been rejected. The large envelope was telling me I'm now on a 3 mo grace period. These folks don't mess around. They want their money. Well, I paid it yesterday. Now that I've read the papers I can add another cc to the auto pay.

Most disconcerting, but a good lesson. You have to stay calm and just go thru the paces.

I was under the weather this morning. But I was scheduled to walk. Kept it close by. But I ended up slogging a lil cause it was cold! When I got back, ch was very low. This can be a problem. So hard to fine tune.

It's 8 p.m. And I think I'll hit it soon. It looks like the payment went thru. I keep getting odd emails. Very jarring. My dentist, who I haven't seen in two years, sent me some dates if I want an appt. That was odd, but she may be purging her files.

My hair is wet n cold tho I'm wearing a hat. It was 25 mph wind today. Very annoying. Nabes wooden gate kept banging. Can't they hear it?

It rained very briefly. I guess we'll take whatever we can get.

We're still waiting for my Amazon package. My new charger cables aren't working, or my lipstick charger died. Have to do tests. Later. I was able to print out my AAA papers, but they were enlarged. There are ways to make it normal. Again, tests. I had been having trouble with printer. I'm glad it printed something.

I want to go lie on heating pad and listen to audio book. It's E is for Evidence by Sue Grafton.

Now it's dark. When package comes, guy can look into living room. I want to go to bed now!

amazing as it sounds, i passed the dmv vision test. i was quite apprehensive in days leading up to it. every nite religiously doing the eye exercises. straining, straining to see, imagine, the dinky little letters. when it came time to test, i didnt even falter! i guess i could see the shapes good enough to recognize. mr x came with me. we had a 2.5 hour wait. he started grumbling part way thru the wait.

other day we were at macs. tried their new ice mocha. yum!

then yesterday hung out with bro for 5.5 hrs. he had these dumb rebate cards to redeem and he didnt need anything. so we went to walgreens, 2 cvs, and a tjs. i caught up on my shopping. we hit a macs and i tried the caramel macchiato. even better than the mocha. we got along very well. we had been estranged a long time. but now i suppose i will eventually move closer to him. he lives in san jose. not a place id like to be. maybe i can move nearby on the coast. would like some fog weather.

so i passed my big hurdle. can relax now and get back to normal. have to hire a drywall guy.

just finished a great read. about uber rich ladies and the scam perpetrated against them. a good frothy read. hey, its fall i believe! got bottle of pumpkin spice latte by starbucks. so curious to taste it.

welcome to fall! time to bring out the sweaters.

finally got back here. we had a plumbing event. on labor day mr x noticed water running off front lawn. a water main had broke. a small 2" gush was gushing out. mr x called water company who turned off water. then i called our go to plumber. a solution was to replace pipe to house. however id been wanting to replace the pipes one day. we had no hot water at bathroom sink and cold faucet was dribbling out. i knew it was a matter of time. then. we didnt have hot or warm water in washer. only cold. thats why my wash would take hours. so i decided to kill all birds with one stone. i replaced all pipes with copper. it took a total of 5 days. we had no water for 3 days. first day we used wipey dypes. 2nd day mr x warmed water jugs in sun and we bathed with a gallon of water. i helped mr x wash his hair on back lawn. i viewed the experience like camping. its doable, but im not keen on it. 3 guys were here. all spoke spanish. so i decided to learn spanish on phone app. itd be nice to be able to converse with them.

im doing eye exercises. plan on taking vision test next week. its better not doing close work, which ive done my whole life. reading way too much. better to look at scenery. i think ill continue the eye exercises.

we had really hot temps, then other day first rain of the year! it began with a thousand lightening strikes. scary, and weird for this area. it started brush fire couple towns over. also monsciour ugly was caught on film sliding his grotesquely ugly body under a residents fence. # the outrage

id been watching lovely old films, then the plumbing debacle. i have to bring in a drywall guy to patch up the holes the plumber left. already found my guy thru yelp.

back to school time, but kids already back. when did that start? and no telethon with jerry lewis. he really wanted to hit 100.

its been super hot here. sf broke record. something like 106. we were 107. i was taking 3 showers a day. would sit outside at nite for air, started watching my dvd player. watched, british intelligence, with boris karloff. such an intimidating man. it was a ww1 flick in blk/wh. got bit by mosquitos. its the gift that keeps on giving. next nite sprayed off on.

got couple more weeks for eye exercises then have to take dmv vision test. strangely enough, the pinhole glasses im using seem to help. before i couldnt see without glasses without closing an eye. now im able to read my phone without glasses. of course, i return to glasses asap.

the smoke from oregon and calif fires drifted down here. could smell it slightly. today its a strange totally overcast day, but warm.

your friendly, pink weather girl.

hi izzy! i know what you mean. its fun to read new blogs. kind of like toothpaste. if nothing to read, ill read the tube. tube tops. i thought those were the dumbest things. then my wing went out once and i couldnt finagle a bra. so had to get the tubes. so easy to put on. i have them in colors, of course. fuchsia, lime, orange.

im writing on lappy, my laptop. too onerous to text on my phone.

its been a long, hot summer. i look forward to fall temps when i can don my beloved denim jackets.

izzy, that was interesting telling of what a nuclear stress test is. what is the nuclear part? the dye? it sounds so high tech. nuclear. do you glow now:)

i need to clean my fans. some arent openable. need some kind of thin bristle brush.

a few cities over madame ugly and her spawn were spotted. search partys are out since they came down where schools are. i noticed their looks didnt improve over the summer.

did i mention mr x found a dead rat on back lawn. thankfully he disposed of it. he said it was 17" with tail. # ick

see you in september!

We had to replace the water pipe to our house, years ago, when we had our own house. BF and a friend did the work.
A root from a tree had punctured the pipe...so the tree was felled.
The lawn never recovered from the line that had to be dug into it to access the pipe.

I bet its nice to have working water again!

OMG, the smoke from the fires drifted into Colorado so thick that it allowed one to look directly at the sun without seeing spots when looking away!
We could barely make out the shapes of the mountains through the heavy smoke.
When the sun had set and the moon had risen, the moon looked much like the sun had looked...only the sky was dark!
There was also a fire near Steamboat Springs, Colorado that grew from 2 acres to 419 acres in just a few hours...that also contributed to our smoky air.
The elderly and people with health issues are being advised to stay indoors with the doors and windows closed.
Its really kinda scary to see that much smoke in the air!

I'm glad to hear that the eye exercises and the pinhole glasses are working for you! ...I should try something like that since my aging eyes are failing fast...but I am lazy lately...maybe at another time.
