Yeah, it was a camp where we learned how to make our positions better for shooting, though there were other things as well. :) It was a lot of fun, and it really helped me. I saw tremendous improvement in my standing and kneeling scores. I really hope I get to go again next year.
Not really much of a leader. It sort of goes like this: Camp Director>Activities Director>Ranger>Counselors and Cooks>CIT's. We were the lowest, and therefore the easiest to boss around. :P Though we got to choose where we wanted to work for the most part. :)
Glad to see that Comfort came out the way you wanted. :D It's always great when you learn that you did what you wanted with your writing. Though sometimes its like the characters have a mind of their own. I'm not entirely sure I made Piper exactly as I wanted her. Usually my characters are known for their shyness. Not entirely sure I succeeded, but I'm happy with how she came out. :)
CIT= Counselor in Training. It's a prerequisite for becoming a Counselor at camp, though I couldn't do it this year because of Rifle Camp. I know what you mean about missing your new friends though. I saw some of my old friends up there from working and they recognized me! :D It was touching. Maybe someday you'll get to go back and visit. :P
You're right about Comfort's level of... well, comfort. She always seems more confused than awkward when she faces new situations and such. Maybe it's the naivete of growing up in the south that makes her that way, but's it's neat to see. It sort of gives her an air of innocence. :)
I'd love to hear it! :D If you want to discuss it through PM's, that's fine with me. :P And I love Roleplaying, regardless of time, but I know what you mean.
The most I've ever been away from home was almost two straight weeks. I went to camp, came back for a day, and went back. I was a CIT last year. :) I understand what you're saying about leaving, too, though probably not on the scale you mean.
Really? :D Piper must have a huge amount of charisma I don't know about. And Seth too. :P The reaction will still be interesting though. Especially when she learns that Piper doesn't wear them because she wants too. ;)
Magic sounds pretty good. Nice and broad. :D I have absolutely no idea for a plot though. :(
Yeah, they probably are on vacation, but I couldn't imagine spending all summer away from home. That'd be awful for me. I quite enjoy relaxing at my house. :P The occasional week or two is something I could live with, but not all summer.
And thank you, on both accounts. :D Seeing your reaction to Piper tells me I wrote her successfully. Comfort seems like the classic older sister type, at least to me. It's sweet, especially when used with Piper's childish form. :) I can't wait to see how she reacts when she finds out that Piper needs Pull-ups. ;)
