XD No, I live in America. The 1, 2, 3 whatever is the level of difficulty for the course. Art 3 is an advanced art class that prepares you for collage and getting your portfolio in order. Algebra 2 is just more advanced Algebra. For English, it goes by grade level. I'll be taking English 11 next year (there isn't an English 12).

@w@;; I gotta take two classes. Algebra 2 (but that'll be incredibly easy, I was just pure lazy in that class) and chemistry.

Can't wait til senior year, all I have is art classes so I CAN'T fail! Photography, Art of Crafts (Pottery), Art 3 (which takes up 2 periods). Then I have current events and a math and english class. Easy as can be.

XD Oh man, that blows. My friends at least have the common sense to say, "Yeah, you're right: But I like it anyway."

School ends today? For me, school ended the 13th. :3
Gotta start summer school on the 24th, though. D; Goddamn my laziness.

XD Well, it's one thing to write a self-insert story and keep it to yourself or to have a character heavily based on you, but to have a wish-fulfillment story and then get it published? Shame on you, Meyers!

I'm probably going to a party that's going on before the last book comes out. I'll try my best not to start any fights (my friend is an intelligent fan who is aware of the flaws, and I don't want to get her into trouble) but it'll be really, REALLY hard. The fans are literally INSANE. You can't reason with them... even harry Potter fans were better then that.

I HATED the book the first time I read it, but I realized that it was mostly because of the opinions of others. So I read the other two books. I still didn't love it, and I never will...but at least I'm not a rabid hater. But if you want to know the worst trash ever written, I reccommend you look up the Sweep series. It's Twilight times 1000000, AND it revolves around Wicca, AND I'm pretty sure it's a self insert story. It's also got like 14 installments, even if the books are really small.

The book itself is written well: It's the plot that ruins it for me. A lot of people take for granted that it is a teen book, and most teenagers are stupid. That isn't cynicism, it's TRUTH... I really never realized it until my friend told me this. There's a ton of flaws to this book, and I LOVE to pick at them. That's part of the fun of reading it: It's ridiculously bad. Go to a movie that looks really, really bad on one ofthe last nights with a friend. Some of the best funyou can have is simply mocking something.

The other half is boredom. I'm bored, I have nothing to read, and I love to daydream more complex ideas that the books could have had, but didn't.

But judging by your tastes, you'd probably hate this book even if your friends weren't forcing you to read it. But you should try it anyway, so you can have an INFORMED hatred. XD

For a funny crit of the book, check THIS journal out: http://www.gaiaonline.com/journal/jo...view&u=2427707

Especially the poisonapple site. That's good and informative.

XD Sorry, I saw your thread in Life Issues and I couldn't resist.
    On the topic of Twilight...

It really depends on what you're looking for, and how into literature you are. If you're looking for brain candy about vampires, this is probably something you'll like. If you want something deep, complex, and engaging, you will HATE this book.

The book itself is mediocre. It has a lot of good and bad. Mostly, the good is in the dialogue and the bad is in the fans. The worst is the fact that it is overdramatic and the main female character (Bella) is a poorly written, flat, obsessive, static self-insert of Stephanie Myer.

Seriously. Everything that happens revolves EXACTLY aroudn this girl. She is shallow and judgemental and the entire relationship between Edward and Bella is like that of a drug addiction: It is creepy. Also, everything that happens in this book is given to you in INFO DUMPS. You will not need to think abotu the plot at all: It is given to you in a sack ,and eveyone treats Bella like a genius for figuring outthe obvious.

BUT, if you can put that out of your head, you will like it at least enough to finish it. The first book is the worst.
