yeah... the economy is slowly starving the life out of everywhere. we need something to kick start the economy... its poopy right now...

well it can take up to 5 days to process a cheq.... but seriously... thats not cool.

they are cutting hours left right and center at my place right now. its kinda crazy. even full time staffers are now working less then 40 hours a week. i guess we arnt doing so well....

maybe that is the current managements plan? i know one of my current bosses doesnt like me because she mistreats me and i speak up and wont take it. and she reduces my hours as a result. and i think that is her way of trying to get me to quit. but i wont until i have a better job. so maybe that is their plan as well. push everyone to the point of quitting.

do you have it on paper that you agreed to a minimum of 20 hours a week? if so, photocopy it and bring it to them. because if thats the agreement you signed, even with new management, they cant reduce your hours below that. I also agreed to a minimum of 20 hours, but it wasnt on paper and so i got screwed.

wow thats a bit scary. i would be hunting for a job like crazy if i were you then. my job cut my hours too, last week i worked only 30 hours instead of keeping it at 44 hours a week. some bullshit. and with all the money i have had to spend on my cat i havnt been able to put anything in my savings in a month and probably not going to be able to this month either. i hope so, but i wont know until the second paycheck of the month... so two weeks from last friday.

well i have about $3500 in my savings. so i think that means we have the same amount there. with your job though i think you should keep going with this it just like me, and keep applying for better jobs. and if something better pops up, take it. if not, then just keep going. its bearable and thats all there is to it right?

lots of ups and downs. my nonno died, i got a job and have had it for about 6 months. My boyfriend lost his radio job... but now has a job after being unemployed for a while but its not in radio its at a factory. my mom and i spoke at my nonno;s funeral which is good because we havnt spoken since christmas. all her fault. my cat has pancreatitis. but he will be fine.

i think thats the majority of it. how about yourself?

i work at value village... its a second hand store... but it is not a chariety, its a business. and they are dicks. and its basically a factory job.

yeah thats how i am right now in my job. i hate it though... i wish i had a better job... *sigh*
