So, got my schedule for this week and it's brutal. Especially tomorrow and Wednesday. I get off Tuesday night at 9pm and I have to be at work at 6am. Not a problem, if I lived CLOSER to work. I have to drive an hour to work and there is no way I'll be able to make that drive with that little sleep.

My mom had the idea of me getting a hotel room. Which I'm reluctant to do. I'm already down to $21 in the bank. It'll be more than that when they finally PUT the money from my pay check in my account, but still.

I had a scare with my debit card, too. I was refused a purchase of a whopping $8! Of course that was my dinner for the night so I could eat it and drive home. See, when I work from 3:30 to 9, that's ONLY 5 and a half hours of work, so I only get a 15 minute break. Which leaves me really hungry and thirsty after my shift is ended. Imagine my disappointment when I had to put back my sammich and my drink which I was so looking forward to getting. I then opted NOT to get gas for my vehicle. Which I'll have to do either tomorrow after work or maybe even Wednesday after work, since I won't be using as much gas being in a hotel.

Also, this weekend my cat's back legs suddenly stopped working and the vet is CLOSED on the weekends. >.< Blast it livingi n the middle of no where. My mom and I were going to take him to the vet today, Monday, but we can't find him and we've looked all over. I can only hope he's alright.

My mom says if she finds him tomorrow or we find him before I go to work she'll take him to the vet. Here's hoping I find Diego...

That's what I was thinking every time someone brought one of those "personal watermelons" to the register.

That and why Ice Breakers even bothered to make "Iced Tea" flavored candies. WTF? "It's like tea, BUT SOLID!" Oh yea!

Either way, had a really mean woman in my line today, really close to when I was getting off of work for the day. Apparently she had an ad from another store and we DO match prices. However, they were charging a dollar for three of something while we only charge $0.33 each, which ends up being $0.99. Sure it's only a penny cheaper, but still. THEN she wanted me to give her FOUR for a dollar instead for her trouble.

Since I refused she got pissed at me and bought only the item I'd rung up before then, a watch. And left her corn, two things of chicken, some doughnuts, and a few other perishable items at the register.

And apparently all of the other cashiers heard about it by the end of the day, since they all asked, "Did she even BUY anything?" And apologized saying it happens. Which I'm aware of.

I've already gotten the SECOND best death glare I've ever seen and been cursed out because I was closing the lane since the register locked me out. (I worked 5 1/2 hours that day, and with that you only get one 15 minute break so the register decided I'd worked too long and locked me out.) I offered to get a manager over to let me back in the register so I could check her out, but she refused.

This "refusal" included cursing me out, telling her daughter all kinds of "nice" things about me, and saying I was just being lazy like most of what's wrong with the world/America today.

That's right folks! Flink is what's wrong with America. ^^

what do they EXPECT you to think when they tell you to find a job so you can move out?

Oh, I don't know.. that they want you out of their house? I'm tired of telling my family I -am- job hunting and I'll move out when I have the money. Right now I'm still broke and I job hunt for hours EVERY single day, and I've gotten nothing yet.

They make it like I'm just sitting here doing nothing all day and living off of them like my idiot of a stepbrother and his wife. I am NOT like them. I didn't get knocked up and quit high school. I graduated, with high marks. I went to college, sure I was forced to go by my mom who panicked and made me go straight out of high school to a technical college I didn't want to go to.

If she'd have given me time, I'd have went to a better college and taken something I could actually get a job in.

But every single day she walks by and asks why I haven't found a job, have I hunted for one that day, telling me if I got a job I'd be able to move out.

Sometimes when she tells me, I think all she wants is for me to pay her back for all of the years I've lived with her. I will, I know I will. I'll end up paying her every single penny I get when I get a new job. My last job I had I spent most of my money buying things for my family.

If you don't like blood and stuff, please don't read. Even if you do, it's advised you don't read. This involves stuff about a female's menstrual "cycle" if you could actually call it that. Flink just needs to whine about it.

So. Flink started her "monthly" in January and has been bleeding off and on since then. She was previously on birth control, but went off of it after she lost her insurance which by some miracle actually paid a small fraction of it. So now she can't afford it.

Well, she really didn't need it for awhile, so she didn't think anything of it. Then this January things went to hell. The bleeding started again, then later the weakness/tiredness, she's constantly in a PMS-like state, it's just so annoying.

Well, Flink finally got up the nerve to call the health department, she didn't go before because she was certain they'd turn her away. How right she was! People kept insisting, "But it's cheap, and they'll give you free birth control!" Sure, if you need it =just= for birth control. But if you need it for something more? Nope. Have to go to a doctor. Pay for it, all of this official stuff.

Flink was in tears when the lady said she couldn't give her any help since obviously from her old doctor's information, Flink needed the birth control for more than just preventing pregnancy. THEN she had the audacity to try and "counsel" Flink.

"Why are you crying? Is something wrong?"

OF COURSE SOMETHING WAS WRONG! FLINK HAD BEEN BLEEDING FOR THREE MONTHS. And then she couldn't get birth control because she needed it for more than just an excuse to screw around. (No offense to those on birth control for the purpose of preventing birth. Flink does not hate you. Just that you get birth control free, while she has to pay like $75 a little container for it. >.>)

The sad part is that woman knew so much MORE about PCOS, what Flink has, than all of the other doctors she's seen! Most of them didn't even know what Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome was. Their answer was simply, "It's 'cause you're fat." They didn't think about -why- Flink is fat.

Flink was a stick until puberty, thank you very much! Her family took her to doctors because they thought she was too skinny! Puberty hits and in a year she is a fat ass. ONE FUCKING YEAR. Not two, not three. BUT ONE. And Flink didn't even change her eating habits. She never ate much, she was really hyper and active. But still the pounds kept coming and coming. Flink tried dieting, exercising, everything. Still she gained weight.

So Flink became depressed, got to see a therapist. Said therapist put Flink on Paxil. The paxil increased the weight gain and they refused to put Flink on something else. Said it was just Flink's eating habits, her own doing. Finally her actual therapist said it was enough and switched her medications, which Flink's been on since then. It hasn't affected her weight. But the damage had been done.

Flink was a fat ass and could not lose the weight. Oh she's tried so hard. So very hard. But it won't go away. It always comes back. Then there's the bleeding, the cramping, the bitchiness, all of the fun things that come with a normal period, but so prolonged. Flink's going to try and get an appointment tomorrow. But she's so sure the doctor will be like all of the others.

"What's Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome? You shouldn't make up excuses. Just lose some weight. It'll fix itself."

Yes, of course it will. That will fix the cysts all over Flink's ovaries, the insulin resistance, the horrible periods, the fact that she bought a pack of pads two weeks ago and has, ALONE, used all but five of them by today. Of course it'll change it all. But how does Flink do it? Hrm? Why don't they figure that one out if they're so fucking brilliant. They're doctors. They went through years of schooling that costs loads of money. Surely they can figure out how Flink can do it, since it's so obviously the only answer.

Flink of course plans to save herself the heartache and ask the doctor she called tomorrow is she/he has heard of PCOS. And maybe ask him/her for the cheapest birth control they have since she seriously can't afford the one she was on last time. Her family would have gone broke just buying birth control every month. Especially since the doctors insisted on her only getting one month at a time, so she had to go every single month and get it refilled.

Flink feels a tiny bit better now. Woo. Even though she's bawling her eyes out. Yay for mood swings.

*raises hand* Been there. Not been officially diagnosed, but I have almost all the symptoms. So, for what its worth, I sympathize.

I hope the doctor you called knew about PCOS and wasn't a total arse about it.
