Ah, that's awesome! Sometimes a drastic change is exactly what you need. Though I know I'd be scared out of my mind to live in a city. There are too many people!

That's really cool! It sounds like a lot of fun, but a lot of work too! I like kids. I used to babysit my older sister's son, and I thought that was pretty hard, but man, you've got your hands full and then some! Ha, yeah, I might never leave academia, and I would be perfectly okay with that. School is the only thing I'm really good at. ><'
xD I can only imagine! I myself don't have a reason to not swear, other than the typical 'parents' one. I just.. don't really swear.
There's actually a funny-ish story that happened a couple of years ago during the summer - I was at a writing camp with about ten other people, one of whom was an extremely pale girl who was a goth - dark dresses, black and white stripped bows, buckles - the whole lot, makeup included.
She wrote the sappiest, goopiest, fluffiest things that had ever reached my ears.
And then there was me - the happy go lucky sunshine and lollipops person, writing about destruction and blood and drugs.
It was an interesting writing camp I'll tell you that much. xD
I kind of want my character to have an inferiority complex stemming from their awkwardness in social situations, one that doesn't think too highly of themselves and will always find a way to blame things on themselves. Someone who wants to try and offend the least amount of people. A person that typically puts others interests before their own, will usually keep their opinions silent, but will sometimes outright refuse to do something that they don't want to do - or find a way to lie and not hurt anyones feelings when saying no. Someone who is also lazy and yet gets random bouts of productivity. Who likes to do things that will make them content and will sometimes opt out of things in order to do those things.
xD Surprisingly, I've seen that video before! Someone on facebook posted it and it was soooo gooood. I tend to not avoid swearing unless it's for emphasis - and that it fits the character to say it. I myself don't actually swear - usually I say words such as "darn" or "damn" or "shoot" etcetera. It's odd, really o.O
The whole 'extensive gory detail' thing I figured would be way too much - but it is fun writing a character that is in face bleeding out. Or people finding people bleeding out and their reactions. But that's just me - I swear I'm a happy non-violent and not death-obsessed crazy person in real life! I just, for some reason, like writing stuff like that. As I mentioned before, I'm odd.
I actually don't really have a specific character in mind right now - I'm sure I can whip something up though. I should probably make some stock characters though - I tend to just do whatever the heck I feel like doing when it comes to roleplaying characters. I tend to like writing boys rather than girls which contradicts my own gender as it should be the other way around xD I'll figure something out and tell you asap!
