06-01-2010 02:33 AMMariannOh I know. And normal people dare to act all superior...crazy people like us get our own jackets and rooms with padded walls! Tell me that does not make us superior to everyone else!
Oh wow. It was a hassle for me to register for university, but that's the biggest hassle I've had in a while. I haven't had anything like that lately XD I'll probably have a similar one trying to choose courses for next year, though.
Oh yeah, mine is totally more awesome than everyone elses :P People with more common spellings just aren't as interesting!
^^ Okay then! *canters off epicly*
Nice. I got my hair cut today, so now it's super-super short. I end up looking four years older XD My hairdresser was reluctant to do it at first 'cause she couldn't imagine me with hair so short, but now everyone loves it...except by brother, who thinks I look like that fairy from Fern Gully (but I don't!).
That sucks :( I get to see friends on Thursday - we're going to a Japanese place nearby for lunch. Hopefully one of the comes (usually she can't for some reason or another), but I hope she can 'cause I haven't seen her in a while. -
05-31-2010 06:59 PMMariannXD My family are "special", too. Some people call us crazy, but they're just jealous because the flying monkeys talk to us and not them...:P
Hehe. I had to make a mask that included different aspects of my personality. I still have it, but it kinda sucks XD I can't actually wear it like you can.
Wow XD Can't say I've ever done that. Everyone else spells my name wrong, though. It's a little-known Irish/Scottish spelling. You can ask ten people to spell my name and none of them will get it right. Only one person did without asking.
Sure you don't want an epic battle horse? I can get you one :)
I used to have two blonde streaks at the front of my hair, but I don't think I'll get those again. I got a red one, which people said looked good. I don't think I'll dye it again, though. I like my natural colour :) -
05-31-2010 06:33 PMMariannXD Go to the booths with a trusted relative? :P
Nice! Very nature-y. I like it :P
My spelling sucks, too. I can't for the life of me remember how to spell "definitely" without a spellcheck. When I was in grade six, I could remember how to spell "technology" but not "machine"....I have no idea what's wrong with me XD
Yay! *puts in mixed tape and mounts the horse, putting the boom box behind me in the saddle and drawing my sword majestically as it plays, making sure the sun hits me right to look epic*
Thanks ^^ My skin is slightly dark, so I'd only be able to do dark colours with my hair (black/darker brown than it is/really dark red). I've wondered every so often if I should try a really dark red, but figured I'd rather photoshop it first to see how it would look XD My hair goes just past my shoulders, but it's really thick, so it takes a long time to dry. Normally I get it cut to the shortest I can have it and still fit it in a ponytail, then let it grow until I get sick of it, which means I typically get haircuts twice a year. -
05-31-2010 06:10 PMMariannI'll just vote for whoever my parents vote for...they're more experienced than I am in this, after all XD
I couldn't see it :( I'm sure it was nice, though ^^
I don't bother making it neat for anything. I figure, it's legible, let people deal with it XD When I started with cursive, my printing was still neater, so I would print on tests until my cursive got good enough to read.
Wait! We must be in proper attire! *gets out cloak, boots, longbow, arrows, epic sword, epic battle horse, and a boombox for adventure music*
Yayy ^^ I get to see my grandparents. I'm also getting a haircut today. I'm getting it short...like a boy's. It'll be the first time I've ever had it that way, so it'll be a bit of a change. I wonder what it'll be like? -
05-31-2010 05:57 PMMariannI think that's the only way to elect anyone...the one who's less of an idiot.
That sucks. We had a summative project at the end of art where we had to choose a Group of Seven member and do a project on them, then recreate one of their artworks. I can't remember who I did, but I remember the painting. Wish I still had it...
I write a unique form of cursive that's still legible. I used to write pretty badly (up until I was thirteen, I had this weird, yet legible scrawl, though I'd have the occasional capital in the middle of a word) because I just couldn't be bothered to do it better.
Neither do I. *Goes on epic quest to find old Flitwick* -
05-31-2010 04:02 PMMariannHaha. I have no idea when the next election is coming...it's been happening really frequently lately.
I suck completely at math |D We never had art exams. I got fairly good marks in art; I tend to suck at drawing, but I do better with paints.
I helped my mom mark math homework for a grade five class once. It's so annoying to have to keep looking back at the answer because you keep forgetting it. It's also so hard to remain unbiased - the kids who write messily (and who actually write "u" instead of "you" on their homework...<.<'') make you mark harsher, but it's hard not to be more fair to the kids with writing you can actually read.
That must get annoying. I would hate that if it happened to me.
My brother isn't as into HP as I am, and he recognised Flitwick had changed. *kills new HP director* -
05-31-2010 03:24 PMMariannOh I know...Politics confuses the heck out of me XD I think too practically :P
Thanks ^^ I hope you do well on yours, too! I got my results back fairly quickly. I used to have this math teacher in grade eleven who, to avoid bias, would mark everything at the same time. You could write a test, and he'd have all thirty-one of them marked a couple of hours later. He'd somehow manage to mark hundreds of exams in twenty-four hours. I'd never be able to do it...I'd get P.O.ed after the first ten exams XD
Oh I know...it's like everyone is just plain stupid or something, eh? It makes some people hard to deal with.
Yes, Toronto is awesome :) I don't want be in small towns much. I don't fit into them well.
You're welcome ^^
So I saw Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince last night...and confirmed that little black-haired midgit is the new Flitwick <.<'' *kills casting crew* -
05-31-2010 12:45 AMMariannI'm not a fan of our government, either. Steven Harper decided to prorogue parliament for six months in the middle of the recession. I'll be happy when the elections come 'round again...
Hehehe. I'll probably move out of my current town when I'm older, but not out of the country. I think I'll move into Toronto...I liked the schools I went to there.
Yes, I have ^^ I got 76 in Anthro, 80 in Biology, 80 in Sociology, and 88 in Psych. I've been relaxing for a while, but it's been pretty boring...at least when I was in school I was seeing friends every day, y'know?
Exactly! That's why I'll try sushi, but not the sushi that contains fish, which I know I hate. People can be...annoying...sometimes.
Yeah, me too! :) It's really fun, and interesting...the book "Crazy Like Us", by Ethan Watters, was a fascinating read. Well, I'm still in the middle of it, but it's good. It's about how American standards of mental health are becoming the norm and changing how mental illness is experienced in other cultures. I highly recommend it :)
Nice avatar, by the way ^^ -
