A jar really is a good way, definitely! Expecially a glass one, so you can see how much is in there. :)

Awww, we used to have a door frame like that at the house we used to live in. It really is a good way to measure how much one has grown over the years. :)

Oh, I could do that, but I need to save my money instead of spending it - which is why I kept my money in a jar at home instead of the bank.

Well, I'm not sure about his height, that's all guess work based on how tall I am, and whatnot. I didn't officially measure them. Everyone grows at a different rate, so I don't know what's normal.

Oh, I could - depends on what has to be bought when though. My birthday is in November - just about a month before Christmas.

He's not quite as tall as me, but I'd say just under 5' at 12. :) It depends though, some older ones are just as bad. Depends on how they were raised.

Haha, I can so relate to that though. I'm the same way! *lol* I get my birthday and christmas money within a month of each other, so it all goes pretty fast... *sighs* :P

Yeah, I thought so too. The younger of the two boys gave that to me. ( I got to see him yesterday, and omg, he's getting so tall! ) And I agree. I used to watch my little next door neighbor, but then that thing happened with her dad, so now I don't really have any young babies that need diapers changed that I watch. Just the older ones.

That sounds like a good plan. I just know from experience it's always better to save money than use it. I wish that I had been better at saving my birthday money. Oh, and I'm not a baby sitter, the boys are too old to be babies - they're 12 and 13 - or almost 12 and 13. Hence the name 'hanging out person'. :P You should, it's great! I love it (for the most part - having to deal with fussy, and rude parents is never any fun, but that isn't all the time. Plus it's good for some spare cash. :) )

It'd be there for whenever you did - it worked for me because I'd get paid in cash during the summers the last few summers - I work as a Nanny (well not really, I mean I am, but the boys don't like the term nanny so I'm the 'hanging out person') and they pay me in cash, so that'd work to just put my money in the jar. :)

I managed to pay my own way to Australia and back, by putting money in a jar from working, plus my parents helped a little bit, but I did most of it. Sometimes putting cash and whatnot in a jar where it is clearly visible helps. :) Although then it's like "Oh, money, let's take it out and spend it." :P

There is just way too much stuff on there that I do that with... Why must I be a broke college student? XD Hahaha! I'll get it all eventually!

Oh I agree, it is definitely full of epic win! I keep getting e-mails from them, and it makes me wish I actually had more money. Because so much epic stuff that I WANT!! :D

Oh, no, but that's cool! Have you ever been back since moving away from there? I've been over to Ireland with my family in 2006, and then over to Australia in 2011. =] I love traveling! :D
