See? Two right there. It takes small steps like ours to get into the direction of ultimately having the cycle begin to crack.

Well yes, the young always starts off unsure and naive.
I hope you're right and America can in some time grow and develop into this prosperous culture filled with art that we weren't able to have within the early past.

Instead of trying to shun and deny different we should be embracing it.
Just think about if there wasn't anything "different" we could never really move forward. We need different.
Different makes us question things and look at things in a different perspective. When people think outside the box and venture from the "norm" they usually discover things.
Discovering things that can help humanity, save lives, further knowledge, and far more.
The endless cycle of hate, when will it end? It doesn't get any better for anyone if this continues on.
I'm making sure my children have open minds on everything around them. I won't shun a culture, race, or idea from them saying "Oh this is bad! Don't listen or bother with it!"

The present has no real impact on history in my opinion. It's what you came from, your past, that creates your present and ultimately your very future. We didn't have much stability in our past nor did we have anything to be truly and entirely proud of in art, language or culture.
There really isn't anything remarkable (art) of the past that us, as Americans, can claim happily and proudly.
