Those are good possibilities... Another is considering a human that can see demons and Messengers even when they're on the other side of the veil. Or a newly-killed soul fit for a Messenger position, these new inclusions being paired with a seasoned Messenger to learn everything they need to know.
Ahahaha, I was just checking because I don't normally act this kind of character as I hate them myself at times. They can get pretty annoying, but Rai means well.
Ah, I actually do have an idea in mind... A while ago I'd started writing something involving a supernatural being called a Messenger, someone strong in spirit that is killed violently. While their spirits are trapped in their bodies, a Messenger already in existence will arrive to release them from from their dead vessel and take them to a series of ancient Messengers assembled to be known as a Council, who approves potential Messengers.
Their job, after being accepted, is to release near-death souls from the bodies of weak humans and, at the same time, destroy demons that exist on the other side of the 'veil', which exist among humans but are unseen by humans (most humans, that being). Messengers are able to transition this veil and become invisible to humans, but they can always see demons.
Oh yes, absolutely. Things tend to be interesting, that's for sure.
Hm, I usually go with my own small adaptations on paranormal activities. I mean, I don't completely go crazy, but I do prefer more unique and personal adaptations.
Ahh... Well, I don't know. Anything would be good, really. Hell, even a more modern type of story, maybe something that involves spirit activity in small amounts, something like that...
