All right then. But we have to decide the unique details of the areas. I already have one in mind. The purpose of going there could be to find an artifact or something to enhance their power or make them see what cannot be seen, like the shadows from the other world. But I'm not so sure about the wise man. It seems... too overused, in my opinion. And it would be too easy for them to simply find the man and not have to figure out how to close the gap themselves.
As to the vision, I will elaborate: The leaders of the kingdoms all share a single vision, of our two characters and the evils that are nearing. They call a special council to decide what to do, and eventually come to the conclusion that the two must be the saviors of the world. To prove this, they all return to their kingdoms and one sends for them. That leader explains that they are the only ones who can save everyone, but to prove their strength and dedication, they will be sent on a small quest for some item or artifact that they must bring back before sending our characters on to their next small journey. Although during the quests, more and more information about the gap in the wall and the shadows becomes apparent.
And yes, names would certainly help distinguish the cities.
I like the idea. Let me see... Perhaps they could be living in one of the kingdoms, and through vision held by one of the leaders it's revealed that they are the ultimate saviors of the world, that they can somehow reverse the death that spreads and kills the life and health of the world and its people and close the gap, reinforcing it. But they must travel through the world to each leader for a smaller quest to test their resolve and strength..
Although while I was thinking about the storyline, I came up with what I could call an intersting idea. We could each make a small area of the world unique, perhaps a small forest with trees never before seen, or a mountain of crystal, or something like that, which our people must travel. What do you think?
Yes, leaders of a certain area of the world. Perhaps related to where they are. Like, one can be the ruler over water and the sea, and their kingdom and city can be on an island. And the ruler of the forests and earthy area of the world can live in an ancient tree and high above the ground, with bridges and treehouses. They are a simple bunch, who prefer living without what the other kingdoms rely on. And the last one resides in the main desert, and are rather hostile to outsiders. Maybe two other nomad tribes at war... But this is my thought on the subject; do you have anything to add or change on that bit?
As to the world... Perhaps they have been warring with a shadowy realm, right on the other side of a wall between the worlds. The wall fractures, and demons and darkness comes to infest the land.
I would say it should be a small world, which is how it could have fallen into peril so easily. Several large cities, perhaps with the rulers of a selected area of the world? And small rural towns in groups, perhaps in the middle of forests or something. What about islands? And deserts?
Animals... Well they could be the same animals, like dogs and cats and the like. But different types, different appearances and species, maybe.
Yes, I see. I'm thinking about why people would chase my character away... Perhaps because, since they have never seen a man-made creation come to life to have their own thoughts and emotions and the like, they were afraid of him. He has quite a few abilities, some weak, but a few very strong, though he has the mental state of a young boy. I have to decide on what those powers are first.
Hm, but while we decide on names and appearances and personality, shall we decide on how this world is laid out?
I believe I have my character more or less figured out. As you have undoubtedly found from my username, this avatar is based on a light blue puppet. So I have thought about this avi being my character. A marionette with life, who is shunned because of what he is and only wants to make others happy.
We can keep it one-on-one. I have had the same experience with being kicked to the side, or completely confused when more than three writers are arguing over the same thing.
Of course. I'm always awake at night and looking for writers to either help or talk to about the subject.
Yes indeed. And it could be magic based, or a combination of magic and paranormal, and the characters... Well, mine would be someone shunned from society, though your character can be what you want it to. Perhaps, though, it could be a two-person writing; I usually get a bit confused with more than several people.
I can always help with your writing, if you let me know when you want something to be revised, or send it via private message. And if you want to read one or two of my own writings, they will be located in my blog.
I'm always patient. Although, not only am I a well-enough writer, but I help others with upping their abilities.
Ah, I'm hoping it's an interesting storyline. But I could not come up with the entire storyline in a two-person writing. I'm sure they would go on a quest of some kind, perhaps to find the reason why their world is falling apart along with gaining the acceptance and appreciation of everyone else. Would you like to help create the world itself? Perhaps it would be set in the past, or the present. I'm usually going for a 'past' feel, such as villages, cities, many large forests and not a lot of industry. Simpler times, I think. What do you think?
I'm bad at writing them, and when it comes to reading them, they just don't interest me.
But if I had to choose one to work on... How about fantasy-base? Perhaps a different world that more or less mirrors ours, though with a diverse group of races and animals, and the main characters being outcast or shunned for some special ability or how they look. I'm sure it may have been done before, but it can always be modified such as there being a problem with the world; like, it's on the brink of disaster or war, or the wall between worlds is thinning and some terrible creatures are spilling into existence. What have you got in mind?
Good day to you.
I've been a bit bored with my writing right now, seeing as I normally write alone. I know how annoying it is to work with someone who either rarely replies or never does, and I'm reliable in that part.
I also looked at the thread, and noted that you said what would be written there would be a romance-base. I admit, I'm not good at those.
Although I'm partial to drama, mystery, horror, action-adventure... Any of those. So if you would like to work with me in an original one-on-one RP, I'm here for most of the night, probably.
