Wicked's an awesome book, so I'd definitely recommend at least reading that one! :D
He's a really inventive author, and I love the creative liberties he's taken. Oz is pretty much a dystopian mess in his eyes, although he has a funny way with framing it in a "flowery" kind of way... But yeah. It's MESS.
And he gets really adult at really random times. :ninja: I swear, these books are unique in how the story's told. But I may be biased.
READ THEM! :illgetu:
And I can't believe your profile is that old already. :gonk: WHY AM I JUST NOTICING THIS!?
OMG I LOVE YOUR PROFILE. It's really friggin' awesome. Please don't get rid of it anytime soon! :gonk:
Anyway, yarr. Stopped by to say that I'm reading the final book in the Wicked series, and it's at this point where Dorothy returns to Oz. It has a few similarities with Return to Oz, so I keep thinking of you. :ninja: No talking chicken, nor any insane asylum before her arrival (she was actually on a trip with Aunt Em and Uncle Henry in San Fran of all places; they were trying to expose her to the outside world beyond Kansas in order to prepare her for the hopeful marriage to a farmboy back in Kansas ). But Mombi is the leader of an annexed Munchkinland, there's some allusions made to her head/face changing (hopefully she has a hall of heads :insane:), and... Yeah. I swear there was other stuff! :gonk:
:ninja: I like spamming your wall, obviously. Anyway, where I'm at in the book, Dorothy is being put on trial for the murders of the Wicked Witches. She's 16, and the way she's written in these books she is annoying as hell.
So yeah. I thought of you. :ninja: I think that was what I was trying to get at.
They're expensive, but handmade and a lot of them are limited edition, so when the fabric runs out, they don't make any more. But I think they're worth every penny and I plan on buying more. XP
