"Why?", you ask? The answer must surely be "why not"

Have you seen this yet? It deserves circulation, I think.

You know what occurred to me? That you wrote this:

Oh, no, I could never do shapeless tops. I'm really bottom-heavy at my thighs, so if I lose my waist definition, I look a good 20-30 pounds heavier. That's probably the main reason I hate them - I see a shapeless top and I think "IT WILL MAKE EVERYONE LOOK SO FAT!" The only place I can do flowy lose-your-body-under-it pieces are on the bottom. A-line skirts are fab for me, as long as they hit just above the knee.

As far as shirts, I prefer this one; I especially love the details on the back, but even then, I'm not sure that I would buy it given the chance, and on top of that it's probably suited more towards, I'm guessing, your body type, than mine.
But I was actually talking about the tour bus link I followed it up with, not the shirt in the original link. Ah, clarity.

Well. He's been weakening now for several years now. He is nearly 83 after all. He had some broken ribs back in December (during the time I had my jaw surgery. That was a fun, fun time in this house) but mostly that was dealt with with bed rest at home. but he ended up breaking a vertebrae. I don't remember if that was due to a fall, it could have been something slight, "like cheesecloth" and all. But he had been having a LOT of falls. So he went in to have an injection to shore up his back, and they were so concerned in the hospital that they admitted him to their rehab and had him in there for a month. I've got to say, it did him a world of good, he hadn't been as strong as he was after coming out of there in a year or so. But about two weeks later he had that respiratory arrest and the strokes, and well, down hill from there you know?

    UUUUUUUUNG.

Okay, well I think last I mentioned on here, my dad had had some strokes and a respiratory arrest. Well, he spent a crappy week in normal hospital before getting sent to the rehab wing of the place for three weeks. Then he came home, but we noticed a decline in him, and he had a wee fall on top of it all, although we were already considering taking him to the hospital again. So, he spent another week in there, having his kidneys monitored (they had taken a beating, because he was on lasix, because the hospital he had been in before hadn't been able to monitor his sodium intake) and then he was transferred to a sort of care home near by, because though not ill enough to stay in hospital, he wasn't well enough to go home. So he spent two weeks in there, and the other day his hip ended up breaking (his bones are so so brittle, "like cheese cloth" is how they have been described, and according to him, the carers were a little to rough in handling him one night and, well here we are.) So, he was carted off to hospital again. They declared he had to ahve surgery, which sent us through loop, because he's weak as well as brittle, and we had been told he couldn't ever have another surgery, as he wouldn't survive it. But they did tests and such, and found he could have the minorest form of everything involved, and it's not like he could go without surgery... So he had that the other day. He's doing pretty well. In fact, they were going to discharge him tomorrow to another rehab, everything was all set.... but now insurance is making a stink at the last moment, so we are completely in limbo as of now.
All told, the man has spent four of the last six months in hospital type situations.

You had no idea what you were in for did you?

So we've reached the stage where we spam each other with whatever holds our attention/vaguely reminds of us each other, yes?

I actually like the shapeless look to it, and I have a great weakness for black and white stripes. I also like that there is a flourish made from a completely separate material. I'm much more tolerant (not sure that is the word that I want to use, but I want to walk the line between enthusiastic and dispassionate here) of fake fur than real fur, obvs. I just am not digging it as the addition to the shirt, as it doesn't really suit my tastes. And, I thought it was interesting, the questions that came to my mind while scrutinizing it. As far as shirts, I prefer this one; I especially love the details on the back, but even then, I'm not sure that I would buy it given the chance, and on top of that it's probably suited more towards, I'm guessing, your body type, than mine.

    What's your opinion?
Does fake fur encourage the continued use of the material in our society? Does it negate what would be cute shirt? Or more basically, do u think this shirt is kool?
