Well, I think it might be because of the pairings you have. I can't remember what exactly was there... Maybe having a few pre-made plots at hand might help too. People don't want to think about that much.

I dunno, it's popular but I've managed to find a lot of people who do straight rps. It might be because most people who like those RPs already have too many to think of taking up another one.
