Your little laptop death reminds me of a picture I took of my friend's laptop in my doctor's office. ^^;;

The wall outlet was up too high and the box on the cord would've been hanging from it, but it had this little velcro thingy on it that I think was used to hold the cord together while it was all folded up or something. Anyways, I had the idea to use one of the IV poles to support the cord, so I told him how to lower it (I couldn't do it myself because I had an IV in my arm) and he put his cord on the IV pole and then drew a frowny-face on his laptop. XD

Long story, but it went 'POOF!' on me after contracting loads and loads of viruses regardless of how careful I was and how many anti-virus programs I had. Eventually it killed off its own internet connection and then 'poof', it was useless. Then my boyfriend fixed it about a month or so ago? I can't remember how long ago, it wasn't horribly long ago.

Yeah, I don't know why the SD drive didn't install either, and he doesn't know why it didn't. >.<;;

Firefox is sooooooo much better than IE. IE is like a virus magnet, it seems to suck the viruses right out of the internet and collect them only for them to explode in your face at the most unfortunate time possible.

I dunno about Lovecraft's monsters, so, sorry. o.o;; But the tentacle remark made me snort a little.

Yeah, it'll beat Vista after they release a faulty version, then fix it up but it's still like a net with giant holes in it. >.<;;

To make absolutely sure, the default extractor on your laptop is Windows Explorer, right? The same program that controls your taskbar? Hrm.... I might try downloading it again, but every time I've tried it crashes. See, it used to work out for me just fine, before my laptop died for a few months and my boyfriend restored it for me.

And unfortunately, my SD drive was never reinstalled for some odd reason... So I have to use his computer to upload my camera pictures until we can fix my lack of an SD drive. ;~;

Alright, well if you decide to do that, please tell me how it works out.

I use Vista's default extractor, I'm too afraid to download any programs for such things because I'm paranoid about my laptop dying. Again. Even though I was super careful with my laptop the first time. ;~;

You would have to delete the version you currently have just to make sure. You don't have to worry about that, I'm just glad that you got it to work for you.

Alright, I might check it. Are you sure you didn't accidentally download one version, thinking you clicked the other, and then did the same the second time and ended up with the right version? o.O

I don't think you're stupid, I'm just wondering, because things like that happen to everyone, including myself on occasion.

When you were trying to download the Windows version? o.O Because that didn't happen to me... What happened to me was when I tried to download the Windows version it would crash my taskbar in the middle of extracting, and once it crashes you can't continue extracting, so you're stuck with what little was extracted before the crash.

No, that's not the case. Mac users can't use Windows files, which is why there are two different versions. Maybe the files got switched around or something, I don't know.

What problem were you having with the Windows version? Was it crashing while extracting and then showing nothing but white spaces when you tried to use the MAC? That's what was happening to me.

I have a question concerning the MAC. You're a Windows user, correct? I thought you said when you downloaded the Mac version that it worked for you? I'm trying to get the MAC to extract properly and if the Mac version works I'd like to give it a try.
