well, for mine, they used a clamp to pull my septum (the thing between the nostrils, in case you didn't know) and make the area more accessible. then they tell you to take a deep breath, and as you let it out, they pierce it. they basically do that for every piercing though. breathing in and out keeps your body from going into shock C:
