I think American has reason to go to war with pretty much any country, so whichever you like. That china idea sounds logical. I never thought about it before.
Is it rushed? I like starting the story in the middle of the action and then when they reunite again, the details of the relationship can come out in backstory. I'd like to write it so that my character doesn't remember the parts of his past like the childhood friend. Then part of the plot is figuring out what really happened. >.< You like?

it was all out war by the time the rp started. It was just something that was a long time coming.

real world? Whatever countries you think should be at war with each other. I used russia and america before. They were childhood friends that grew up together. Story would take place after they're already soldiers and the war has broke out?

yay! *hug* Well uh, the character I used before was a spy that got captured. The war was something that had been boiling under the surface for quite some time, but it suddenly broke out...kinda world war 3. What needs discussing?
