"Now we'll have dinner," snickered the Skeleton. "And the dinner...is YOU! I'm going to eat you up!"

"Who's afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?"
It seems everybody. And for good reason.
Wolves have long since been an icon of fear, savagery, darkness and deception. They have also been said to possess supernatural powers or be aids to the Devil.
In Inuit mythology, there is one wolf people fear the most.
    Amarok!
    ....
NO! That is so not the creature I mean.
The amarok is a giant lone wolf. It stalks the night in search of prey from deer to even full-grown bears. This savage monster will eat any it encounters who are foolish enough to hunt alone at night.

In the night skies of Mexico flies a fiendish ghostly figure. This being will glide silently among the stars seeking out those who it views as deserving of punishment. When the victim is found, the creature falls from the heavens to administer horrific justice.
La Lechusa is the owl woman who seeks out and attacks men who are unfaithful to their girlfriends or wives by lying or cheating on them. The attacks on such men are often subject of much cryptid speculation.
There could be many La Lechusa.
La Lechusa are often described as a woman capable of taking on the form of an owl, a half-owl half woman spirit, or, most shockingly and frightening yet, a large white owl with the face of a woman.

Kinda makes you nervous to go out at night, doesn't it?
