Never got in to Potter, they seemed to throw magic around with reckless abandon and little effort, which pissed me off being the fantasy nerd that I am. Magic requires energy, focus, and intent, not a fecking fancy stick and some gobbledegook words thrown together while you point your fancy fecking stick at something! Let alone the physics of it all that I've worked on in my head for years to make it all happen!

I think I've seen the Wizard of Oz movie, so thats about as close to the book as I'll get I think! :P Though you've just reminded me of 2 pictures if I can find them...
