Steven Moffet lives to scare the crap out of his viewers. It's kinda awesome, really. :'D There's almost always a terrifying amount of logic in his episodes.
It was very creepy. D: Especially since it wasn't long after I'd shared some frightening Weeping Angel logic I'd thought of: Sure, we aren't in areas with lots of statues. But that doesn't mean there isn't Weeping Angels. After all, they only exist when you're looking at them!
Eightish. o wo Her and her sister (around your age, I think) have been begging to join our next Doctor Who sleepover. Their sisters were worried that it might get too creepy for 'em, but we've all come to an agreement on it. c:
We explained the Weeping Angels and Vashta Nerada to them. The youngest kept telling us not to blink and to watch the shadows*. It was adorable. Right up to the point that we realized we were surrounded by statues and one of said statues had poofed.
Four different ones at any given time. :D Blink, Count the Shadows, Exterminate Regenerate, and then parts of Journey's End. Count the Shadows was our favorite one to sing when walking back to the cars in almost pitch-black shadows. xD
