Oh, I'd say a time skip would work in our favor. Probably some months, at the least. And in my consideration, with Gabe and all, I feel he'd have grown comfortable in his place with Byron and almost enjoying his life, now that he's not an inch from homelessness and has someone that loves him, even in an odd way. He'd probably be painting for Byron now, and learning whatever Byron might want to teach him.
Oh, a bunker? Perhaps a bunker in the basement or back yard of one of the more 'abandoned' houses of the area, that's mostly hidden by overgrowth and not really scheduled to be sold or torn down, but is just forgotten about?
Wow, really? Hah, well, you know what they say about great minds. I was thinking about a place like... Well, an abandoned shack of a building somewhere in the city. The specific place is a bit flighty in my mind, personally...
True, true... Seems it would call for something exceptionally... dramatic, I think. I had a sudden idea of Byron pulling Gabriel into a quick escape but getting shot in the meantime, and they don't make it very far because of this. They make it far enough that Byron dies before police arrive...
Or that's just a quick flash of an idea that just hit me over the head...
