Hm. Well, they're getting there. So make sure their fiftieth birthday cake says 'vintage'! And you do? Well, honestly, who can't admit to liking at least something with the tag? And I even made the new W.D. first post look vintage! Like it's an old-time invitation and frayed around the edges.....
Well, usually one's parents are born at leas fifty to sixty years ago when one is in their twenties and thirties... So they're either approaching or made it to the designation 'vintage'. But I like to think it as a compliment---everyone's always after something vintage, after all!
