Well, from what I've read and heard about, a young royal or even king or queen tends to have two sides. A side that's cool, steady, and aloof when facing their duties or the public eye, and one that's privilege only to very few, because that's their more vulnerable, human side they fear can be used against them.
Hm. Well, if you feel it'd work. But it's known that a prince or young royal in general doesn't have friends or playmates as others do, so their only source of kind or friendly interaction. Perhaps there are two sides that very few are privileged to see?
Ah, and I have to find out a good name for mine. Since it's more fantasy-oriented, perhaps a nicely fantasy-based name that isn't ridiculous... Oh! I know where to go. ought to take about as much time to decide as it does you to make your whole character...
Hm, that'd be a good point. I'd say that my character might be known to be a half-blood and therefore altered slightly to appear more human. It'd also give some incentive for a few of the meaner tutors to put a little extra force behind their strikes when your character does something that will require the use of mine.
Ahh, so half elf, half whatever the race is that your character is? What were you thinking in that regard?

Yes, I like that... I'd want him to be an elf, I've not had an elf character in ages. And to hide what he is they cut his ears at a very young age to round them off... Ahh, let's see... They'd have to be somewhat young, in their early teens... After it's discovered their relationship has run deeper than it should, they're separated entirely and manage to communicate via servant-delivered notes and messages over a time, which they concoct a decision to leave and forge their own life away from the oppression and suffocating indifference of the kingdom they've been growing up in without realizing things are going bad between a series of kingdoms' races...
*headdesk* That was the problem I kept running into. Maybe we should just wing it. Or make it a fantasy-base, have them run away eventually or become displaced and abandon duties in the shadow of a looming war? Suddenly I have a bigger idea...
