Yes it was. A drought in the valley village that decided to sacrifice a young one to the snake god that lives in the mountain nearby. Of course it's so open... so many possibilities... *shakes head*
Ah, okay then! I'll finish this reply and get to work on one for Enthrallment. And I'll ignore for a while the others in an extra amount.
Sorry, I didn't see your message! *shot*
Maybe later.... I suppose... To think, the whole basis was 'human sacrifice'. Don't normally have characters that are too feared.
I thought it was. But I'm well known for choosing less-than-attentive partners or they lose interest or their quality suffers over time for no reason... Whatever, though, I've got a few good ones now! Just, ah, hoping I'll find a way to bring him out of retirement, so to say.
Oooh, fascinating! I had a naga character once... A god, unknown to him of course, having just come out of hibernation to find the smaller naga of the world being hunted for the magical properties in their scales and blood... Hmm. That RP never... hm.
Well, since you were thinking about an incubus for his character... why not go interesting? How about the embodiment of love, able to make anyone fall for him and then manipulate them as he likes, but he doesn't use this tactic unless it's a very necessary thing.
Or... maybe a manipulator---someone that when he gets close to someone else, can overtake their rational thought and force his own thoughts into their head. A bit more sinister, but... well, I like sinister...
Well, it could show the other characters their 'true selves' if they wanted... Lots of different ideas, really.
Although I did help, I'm glad for that! Heheh... Maybe he could be a deity in general, hm? Maybe something from fallen stardust in a celestial realm that's originally unknown? A male water nymph in a river of literal gold far underground?
Ah, I know.... Too many ideas! But this one is a 'mirror' concept---perhaps Alden can show people their true souls in human form, be they ugly or beautiful, and only they can see the change. But this also makes him a bit of an outcast, because he doesn't necessarily want to be shunned?
Um, well, I mean merman character. Alden, a reclusive, reluctant royal that's recently been trapped by humans as an exhibit.
Aww... It'd have really been off the beaten path. Maybe if you want to be a more unique, but important character, he could be unknown. A race of human-like immortals that tried to escape a realm that at one time was considered a utopia---maybe a city that now is destroyed or buried, and exists here to help others as a muse, a voice of reason, a guardian angel, something like that, but never really stays anywhere for more than a little while.
