I did think about what would happen when they found the human village. There were the three possibilities: Slan deserts Rai in favour of living with his own kind, Slan keeps Rai nearby and still visits him, or Slan doesn't go to the village. If he chooses the first... well...

Slan seems to get uncomfortable very rarely. XD
