Indeed! Finished a whole sentence before actually stopping for a while, too!
Ah, I know. Did a good amount of reading up on them while dogsitting. Seems he loved just about any food that came his way. Especially a hamburger. Could never not give him one if the implication was even there.
Ah, thank you! I did manage to add some to the story whose link I gave you. I don't think I ended at the middle of a sentence this time!
Oh, that's definitely freaky. I'd always found it amazing how healthy my uncle's was, though, since he rarely ate dog food. But every visit to the vet said he was fit as any racing hound.
Ah, if you find someone, mind keeping their name for me? I'm nowhere near the searching stage, but it's nice to have at least one or two names in mind.
I'm not sure if he's still around, but when my uncle's wanted attention, he'd stand up on you and look right at you until you paid attention. Also applied to when he wanted out in any way. What with those bony feet, you couldn't ignore him for long.
True. Just don't go losing faith if a few publishers turn you down. A ton of amazingly famous writers nowadays went through Hell and back finding someone that'd put them out there.
Heheh, the one my uncle had was a sweet, friendly, never-ever-violent type. Although when he got annoyed he'd sit, snort, and try to hit you with those long legs. Could really smack you, too, if you got in the way!
That's a good incentive to get one! They're still quite rare, so it might take a while to actually find a purebred.
Indeed. Not great guard dogs, I've found, if left to lie about. Maybe that was just him, though. Can never be too sure from one dog to another regarding breed.
Oh, lord, they cost a ton of money! We were lucky to have it gifted for our job, but I don't think we'd have gotten one, regardless of if we could have. This makes it a bit better.
And indeed, he's very energetic. I know how Greyhounds can get! Fast, but lord are they lazy... An uncle of mine had one and I had to watch it for a week while he was gone to Florida... All that dog did was sleep. And take up my bed.
They're gorgeous. And absolutely massive! They're like a combination of a dog and cat, you can walk it on a leash and its as loyal as any dog, instinctively protective of children and very friendly in general.
We were actually gifted a Savannah Cat. They're huge domesticated cats, if you don't know, created by breeding a regular cat with a wild Serval. About a week ago we did an extermination job for a couple that breeds the cat, and it was a massive job to get all the roaches out of the walls without damaging anything. And we tend to do these jobs for free because we find it best just to help people. They were so appreciative they allowed us to decide on a pick from one of the recent litters, which is now about a year old.
