There's not a lot of acting stuff going where I am which is a shame. I've tried out for the past 4 school musicals, and 2 out of school productions. My first school musical was Suessical Jr, which I got the part of Cat in the Hat. The second one was Aida, which I got understudy for Amneris, but got screwed over and the person who ended up playing Amneris when the original left screwed everything up. The other 2 you wouldn't know them, and I got back up singer for the first one, and got to sing the finale, and for last year's one, I got a redundant character who barely did anything but was on the stage like, all the time, but everyone says I managed to pull them off and was one of the stars of the show. For the 2 out of school productions, the first was The Sound of Music, which I got a call back for, but apparently I was a little too fidgety for their liking so I didn't get a role. The last is also one you wouldn't know, and I got nothing for that. Which is alright.
We're doing Oliver. And I'm auditioning for Nancy and Fagin. I'm going for Fagin because 1) Our director came up to me today and was like, m8, no one can sing please do this for me amen, and I was like, I will do this for you because 2) Fagin is the most amazing character I've ever known, especially in the 1986 film. I was originally going for Nancy before this though, and I reckon I would have had a fair shot at her but Fagin calls for me greatly.

I have an english draft due tomorrow, and still working on my arts and getting down to the nitty gritty in drama, as well as practising my parts for my audition this weekend!
