Oh yes, indeed it was sad. Especially when the creature returned and forcibly removed every given emotion, but not the recent memories from those emotions.

Stop it! Urgh. Let me say Lucius was at least in human form, and later on it seemed near the end of the 'story' in which he'd taken on a generally human-devil type form, similar to what his father would look.

Also, at least the concept wasn't strictly randomized and weird. For example, before shit went down (and I mean in the 'holy hell what am I even getting this from' type way), some smoky entity appeared, but you couldn't tell what it was, though it had a female voice. It said 'Lucius, I know what you wish. You wish to be human. This I cannot give, not permanently. But perhaps, for a while, you can feel what it's like to be human. For twenty four hours you will feel all of which you cannot, but be warned: Sometimes it's better to never know, than to exist forever in longing afterward..."

I can remember that quote... perfectly. Most of the other dialogue was quiet or generic, but I remember that very well.
