Well it's not complaining. It's asking about them. Not begging for hours, not complaining about the fact that you don't have any. But asking again what you might not have heard and making sure you understood. They can't find fault with that, after all, it's the sign of a good employee---making sure they understand something and don't just go flying in the dark and flailing.

Why not call and ask? I mean, you can't be bad. Not as bad as some of those people, at the very least.

Aren't they already having trouble giving people hours in the first place? It's not your fault.

And they should be reminded of how well you've done this week---and so often before this week as well. The fact that you easily seemed to get employee of the week without much effort at all, as if you were made for the spot that day. And one bad score to cripple that? No, it's not right. And not a way to handle your good employees.
