Kind of creepy... I hadn't seen him before but later asked about the 'weirdo' walking the hall below his floor, and when I described him he said it was the janitor that was killed a few days ago. Welp...

I can't tell if that's my only instance with spirits, though. I mean, I used to hear a TON of things from footsteps to voices in my parents' house while I was there, but always pegged it off to my siblings wandering around for water or the bathroom or some sleepwalking thing..

Ah... Okay, okay... I think I told Pap after she mentioned you and her talking about spirits. I saw the lingering spirit of a dead janitor when I was younger, and visiting a friend at their apartment. He was killed a few days prior by a few thugs, bashed in the head in the basement when he was presumably getting cleaning supplies. I was halfway to his unit and saw the man kind of... walking toward me. Just... scared me since he didn't look right and I had to run home and make up an excuse as to why I couldn't visit that day.

A spirit thing, really. Kind of an old story.

Oh? You see... heh. Made me think of something. But that's really curious, Neko, seeing them when something good is about to happen? Like a positive omen.

Of course it makes sense, Neko. Oscar is keeping an eye on you. He's watching out for you because he loves you. Makes me feel as if I'd be doing the same thing if I were there. I think Oscar loves you as much as he does because you, in a way, rescued him.

Aw. We would have kept you warm and comfortable no matter what, Neko! And that Oscar... Cats can sense your troubles. And a cat like Oscar, I don't doubt he'd keep you company and watch you all night to make sure you were okay.
