Just prefilled Wally. Give him a lil kibble. Still got a headache. Haven't moved off the couch. Started another book. A 20 yr reunion in the '70s. So these dames went to Radcliff in the '50s. They couldn't wear pants. Could smoke in hallway. So far I like it. Diverse set of girls. Interesting mores. A counselor is dissuading one girl away from pre med. Said to her, if you're interested in med, you could marry a doc!

Meeting bro may give me push to sew up some of his pants that have been here for maybe 10 years. There were just so many. And enough of him bringing his broken statues for me to fix. Like I need another task.

This is bad I keep bringing back books. It's like if I passed a free donut. I would really want it. So I shall read every day. That's my project. One book is filled with short, uplifting humorous stories. I'm juggling about 5 books plus ebooks. My focus now, tho, is to get rid of the books. It felt so good to dump off the four. I picked the reunion book cause it's one of the hefty tomes. Give me more space.

Space. The final frontier. It's nice to have space in a house to walk. If I can empty some of these bins, I'll have more space. The bins stack. I put clothes, papers, books in them. Plus you can wash them.

Getting windy here. That means a red alert for higher elevations. Cause wind can cause fire. Cannot win. Even the other states to the east that don't have fires are getting all the drift.

Did about 1 hr scoot. Felt good to be out. Air was great. Stopped at 2 book bins. Got 3. Sigh. But two were The Boxcar Children. A huge series. I read the first one once. Some sibs go live in an abandoned railcar. Must have been early 1900s. Well, these books are treasures. But my book stack just getting taller.

It was unscripted route trying to find the 2nd bin. Mr x had noticed it on one of his bike rides. On the 2nd to last st home there was a monster hill. I stupidly decided to scoot up it. Almost made it. Then felt sick. Luckily last block was coasting. I tested and ch was high. Yest walked longer and ch was pretty low plus I felt great.

Mr x wore the monkey scooter tank I got him. Every time I looked at it, I cracked up. The monkey is on a scooter with his tongue out. We were stopped having a drink and mr x spots a camera on a garage. He waves... Then gives it the finger! I said, Mr x! He said monkey George told him to do it. It's hard to rein in Mr x. Lord knows I've tried.

Well, once I feel better I'll be glad I went out. Got a lil headache. These are those ch symptoms I told you about. I can't do what I used to do without this kind of reaction. Just got to work around it.

Got some reading to do. Haha! Tomorrow Amazon package coming so I'll feed Wally.

Sunny greetings! Mr x just went off to bike with Corona Joe. I'm having Joe. Feel lil tired. Maybe from walk yest but today will have to scoot. Air is in the green plus supposed to be around 70• I'm going to cut route shorter, tho.

Bro wants to bring me that scooter. I said after jury duty appt in Sept. And where will we go? We used to end up at a Macs. They're not open for dining. We'll prob scoot somewhere. But where? I'll have to plan. I may have to get Mr x involved to drive me to the place. I may avoid being in Bros car. Sidewalk scoot not conducive to chit chat. I was surprised he was able to scoot so long that last time couple years ago since he's so heavy. I knew him when he had a concave tum. He ran the bay to breakers. I don't like to see him fat. And now he has ch. He's on meds. I'm not. Yet I get noticeable symptoms if I go high or low. He doesn't seem to. But he gets foot cramps. That is a symptom, come to think of it.

He showed me another lot of tiny figurines he got. He's bringing them in like waves. I said, they're cute, but where do you put all this stuff?

I saw this post about an estate sale. I went to the site. Most interesting. You bid on items. The items weren't fetching much. Good for buyer, not for seller. You prob have to pay % to company. In this case you also have to pick up the item at the house.

As compared to eBay where you can bid, too, but items are mailed. It seems stuff doesn't sell much on eBay. The seller can hold out till he gets an acceptable bid. On an estate sale, the owner wants everything gone.

I could return that paperback today on scoot run, but I want to collect a bunch. Then I feel I accomplished something. I also washed that canvas book bag I used. Canvas picks up a smell. Now it's all wrinkled. Look better if I iron it. Mama, what's an iron?

Well, may as well start getting outfit out. TracFone is charging. We went on a different route yest while walking. Some would be appropriate to scoot. Also we weren't running into the myriad women walkers. Rare to see a guy walk. Sometimes they do with dog or spouse. But not by themselves.

We walked! Pert near 1.5 hrs, too. And I felt great. Still do. That serotonin lift. There was a slight breeze and it was delicious. No smoke smell. Wanted to hit 3 book bins. Hit 5! Dumped off 4, picked up 2. Whatcha gonna do? At one there was a note, no jw materials. Will be recycled. Took me a moment. No Jehovah witnesses.

I was not looking forward to walking, but it was vg. I have these Teva shoes with a rounded heel. Mr x wore his high top Converse. No arch support. He was lagging and later said his feet hurt. He's having a blue moon beer. I'm having raspberry ice tea.

It's Mon. Clang bangers at their post and Mr x biking with Corona Joe. I have to go out and smell air. On paper it looks ok, but the apps differ. If I smell smoke, no work out. I'm ready for a walk. I have 4 books to return. It is just not feasible to bike there. These streets are too narrow. So I thought I'd do a book return. Hit the different free lil libraries. I have this new book I got free and I don't want to leave it at the open air library. It'll get dusty. What if it sprinkles. Most boxes are closed. There are three I'd like to hit. Unfortunately, if I saw something interesting I'd have to get it. But I'm on a book reading phase. I want these books gone!

Heard gas prices like $4.59 here. Coming up to $5 lots of folks here have those behemoth vehicles. Real gas guzzlers. I have a fit. I call her fitty. When Mr wrong came to town, I drove him around in it. I could see then. We had a good time. I took him urban hiking in the hills. We went to a steakhouse called Izzy's! Went to an airplane museum. Then he took me in his truck and we went across golden gate bridge. It was windy and rainy. What's rain, momma?

Guess I'll go smell the air. If I can't go, i can't go. I'm following this enthusiastic woman on Twitter. She and hub have bed and breakfast in Tennessee. I doubt I'll ever go that far. There are some cool folks on Twitter. Of course there's a lot of chaff to weed thru. So far I haven't had any problems. I don't talk about anything controversial. Does it ever change anything? Folks have sides. They get support. Both sides have supporters. Then they get together and rumble. And it changes nothing. They still have their views. Now they just hate each other. Better to be like a cat or dog and say nothing. Both sides love their pets.

I overate, again. I've gone off track since my last scoot over a week ago. And I can't get back on track cause the heat has knackered me. But the heat is getting everyone. Some town, I think Redding, near the Dixie fire, said it was 117• that's unreal! It was 87• outside, here. That dirty, smoggy sky. Still no smoke smell, but we're still in lower yellow air tier.

I planned to buy a neck fan, but reviews are grim. The one I wanted had 6k mah battery. That seemed to be the highest. But terrible reviews. I wanted it in case of jury duty.

I opened a weeks mail. Futzed with clothes bins. Took out the towels. Heard another audio mystery with Agnes Morehead. She plays the grandma in bewitched. In this one she was playing maybe 30s with a fiance and older father. She called him daddy. That was funny to hear. Of course, endora could've been 60 reading this audio. Much harder to age folks from their voices. Also listened to Captain midnight, which turned out to be a kids show. You never know what it will be. This app doesn't give description of the program. I started one that featured Harry Lime. Turned out it was Orson Welles again. I'm kind of od d on him.

Well, Corona Joe returns tom. Or could be back already. Maybe he'll call Mr x to ride. It was heavenly not to hear clang bangers. Tho I could see the driveway is still dug up and big machine still there.

    Think I'll go audio.

It's noon. Put in Amazon order. Getting mask insert frame. And more color masks, in case I have jury duty. Started gathering my stuff. Futzing with small fan. It's not working well. I had looked into neck fans once. You wear them around your neck. Other day those hand warmers came. I had to count 320 of them. They were all there. Getting more crush powder drink. Trying jolly rancher brand.

Have to fill out ballot. Gov newsom up for recall.

    Ok, got to start desky.

It's almost midnight but I'm wide awake. Once when this happened I couldn't figure it out, until I remembered I had put a small spoon of cafe protein powder in my slim fast. Boy that stuff's potent. Called Click. Weird name. Folks raved about it. I bought about 4 cans. I'm on the last can. Tired of it.

I ended up doing more cleaning. I went into kitchen cabinets and sorted. Sorted my drink packages. I had Crystal light but they got stupid expensive. So I switched to crush. I actually like it better. I wiped down a cereal shelf above stove. I was doing tasks that needed the stool. Then later I even rode Innside bike for 30 min. Such a lame amount but I'm in a funk. I'm about half finished with the who dun it book. So that's coming doing nicely.

I think I hear my radio shows a callin me. Bros getting a used washer n dryer from his gfs sis. Lucky bum. My eyes are itching. Think it's the air. We're in yellow tier, slightly. Will use the eye drops.

Dragged step stool into closet and sorted top shelf. Pulled down boot trees. Don't think I'll ever buy tall boots again. Pulled down box for my Asus tablet. Battery is shot. Want to plum it for pics then dispose. I'll charge it to 100% within moments it reads 60% but if you keep a charger on it, it's ok.

I pre cleaned shower track. Next need to wash it. Then since stool is out I'll get up in kitchen cab and sort it.

Back to the fray Ray. Oh, I found a woman with ch on Twitter. Following her. I need to see how she's coping. She was fat for a lifetime but then developed health prob. Now her ch average is less than mine! I was not fat thru hs. I was 115# as a senior. I was running and biked to college in Frisco. But I predominantly ate low quality carbs like ramen, Mac n cheese. I thought taste trumped. Then met Mr x. i made cakes, cookies. Ate them. Didn't run in Frisco cause of the hills. We'd later walk a lot. We walked to the dentist. I started getting these Shakey episodes but I wouldn't know I had ch for many more years. I didn't go to the doc then. Frisco very unfriendly car city. I plan to screenshot her suggestions to bro. He's too invested in pigging out and it shows. He was rather good looking, trim, and smart in HS. Now he's still smart. He lost his looks. When he got that electric scooter, he said it has a weight limit but he figures I'm under. Yup, I'm 117# but I work at it.

    Soup was bean with bacon.

Some sun is peeking out of the overcast. Will be hot again. I'm considering doing some ex. I could slog in back 40. Clang bangers don't seem to be here today. I don't know.

Last nite I went and listened to you tube. Started on mystery book set in England, I believe. A who dun it. This address label fell out and it was gfs dad. She was giving boxes of books to library when moving. I guess I picked this one.

I'm keeping track of jury duty moves. I noticed they're now meeting at the local court house rather than the fairgrounds. I'd rather it was the local one. I'm not familiar with fairground area plus it's couple towns away.

I could also work on the phone/printer problem. That's a necessary project.

Well, better make pink hay while the sun shines!

amazing as it sounds, i passed the dmv vision test. i was quite apprehensive in days leading up to it. every nite religiously doing the eye exercises. straining, straining to see, imagine, the dinky little letters. when it came time to test, i didnt even falter! i guess i could see the shapes good enough to recognize. mr x came with me. we had a 2.5 hour wait. he started grumbling part way thru the wait.

other day we were at macs. tried their new ice mocha. yum!

then yesterday hung out with bro for 5.5 hrs. he had these dumb rebate cards to redeem and he didnt need anything. so we went to walgreens, 2 cvs, and a tjs. i caught up on my shopping. we hit a macs and i tried the caramel macchiato. even better than the mocha. we got along very well. we had been estranged a long time. but now i suppose i will eventually move closer to him. he lives in san jose. not a place id like to be. maybe i can move nearby on the coast. would like some fog weather.

so i passed my big hurdle. can relax now and get back to normal. have to hire a drywall guy.

just finished a great read. about uber rich ladies and the scam perpetrated against them. a good frothy read. hey, its fall i believe! got bottle of pumpkin spice latte by starbucks. so curious to taste it.

welcome to fall! time to bring out the sweaters.

finally got back here. we had a plumbing event. on labor day mr x noticed water running off front lawn. a water main had broke. a small 2" gush was gushing out. mr x called water company who turned off water. then i called our go to plumber. a solution was to replace pipe to house. however id been wanting to replace the pipes one day. we had no hot water at bathroom sink and cold faucet was dribbling out. i knew it was a matter of time. then. we didnt have hot or warm water in washer. only cold. thats why my wash would take hours. so i decided to kill all birds with one stone. i replaced all pipes with copper. it took a total of 5 days. we had no water for 3 days. first day we used wipey dypes. 2nd day mr x warmed water jugs in sun and we bathed with a gallon of water. i helped mr x wash his hair on back lawn. i viewed the experience like camping. its doable, but im not keen on it. 3 guys were here. all spoke spanish. so i decided to learn spanish on phone app. itd be nice to be able to converse with them.

im doing eye exercises. plan on taking vision test next week. its better not doing close work, which ive done my whole life. reading way too much. better to look at scenery. i think ill continue the eye exercises.

we had really hot temps, then other day first rain of the year! it began with a thousand lightening strikes. scary, and weird for this area. it started brush fire couple towns over. also monsciour ugly was caught on film sliding his grotesquely ugly body under a residents fence. # the outrage

id been watching lovely old films, then the plumbing debacle. i have to bring in a drywall guy to patch up the holes the plumber left. already found my guy thru yelp.

back to school time, but kids already back. when did that start? and no telethon with jerry lewis. he really wanted to hit 100.

its been super hot here. sf broke record. something like 106. we were 107. i was taking 3 showers a day. would sit outside at nite for air, started watching my dvd player. watched, british intelligence, with boris karloff. such an intimidating man. it was a ww1 flick in blk/wh. got bit by mosquitos. its the gift that keeps on giving. next nite sprayed off on.

got couple more weeks for eye exercises then have to take dmv vision test. strangely enough, the pinhole glasses im using seem to help. before i couldnt see without glasses without closing an eye. now im able to read my phone without glasses. of course, i return to glasses asap.

the smoke from oregon and calif fires drifted down here. could smell it slightly. today its a strange totally overcast day, but warm.

your friendly, pink weather girl.

hi izzy! i know what you mean. its fun to read new blogs. kind of like toothpaste. if nothing to read, ill read the tube. tube tops. i thought those were the dumbest things. then my wing went out once and i couldnt finagle a bra. so had to get the tubes. so easy to put on. i have them in colors, of course. fuchsia, lime, orange.

im writing on lappy, my laptop. too onerous to text on my phone.

its been a long, hot summer. i look forward to fall temps when i can don my beloved denim jackets.

izzy, that was interesting telling of what a nuclear stress test is. what is the nuclear part? the dye? it sounds so high tech. nuclear. do you glow now:)

i need to clean my fans. some arent openable. need some kind of thin bristle brush.

a few cities over madame ugly and her spawn were spotted. search partys are out since they came down where schools are. i noticed their looks didnt improve over the summer.

did i mention mr x found a dead rat on back lawn. thankfully he disposed of it. he said it was 17" with tail. # ick

see you in september!

my newest project is trying to buy glasses ol.

last nights movie was a doris day musical. she can really dance. and tap. that is an odd dance move. the guy was doing it on a staircase. itd be kind of neat to suddenly break into a tap dance.

then i started a cary grant and rosallnd russell movie.

i made up 5 packs of indonesian ramen. made oodles of noodles. heard ramen is hot commodity in prisons. ramen wth an egg on top. # breakfast is served

i should try on my cargo shorts again. itll probably be another year till i can wear them. i sure love the pockets. i used to be a tomboy back in my tomcat days. but i grew out of it. i get more favorable responses when i dress ladylike.

We had to replace the water pipe to our house, years ago, when we had our own house. BF and a friend did the work.
A root from a tree had punctured the pipe...so the tree was felled.
The lawn never recovered from the line that had to be dug into it to access the pipe.

I bet its nice to have working water again!

OMG, the smoke from the fires drifted into Colorado so thick that it allowed one to look directly at the sun without seeing spots when looking away!
We could barely make out the shapes of the mountains through the heavy smoke.
When the sun had set and the moon had risen, the moon looked much like the sun had looked...only the sky was dark!
There was also a fire near Steamboat Springs, Colorado that grew from 2 acres to 419 acres in just a few hours...that also contributed to our smoky air.
The elderly and people with health issues are being advised to stay indoors with the doors and windows closed.
Its really kinda scary to see that much smoke in the air!

I'm glad to hear that the eye exercises and the pinhole glasses are working for you! ...I should try something like that since my aging eyes are failing fast...but I am lazy lately...maybe at another time.
