Mr x has some scary screaming movie on. I'm waiting and waiting for cuz to write. I do still owe 2 more ems to pals. It's so much fun to get ems. Harder to return.

I didn't succumb to the Fritos. Had a din of veg, mash tater, mushrooms. Plus orange. Front doors open.

Earlier watched a Sherlock Holmes with basil. A dvd. My net too slow to watch prime video.

    Think I'll take a dip.

Monsieur frito is calling me. Tempting me with tiny strips of salty goodness. And i am so weak. So very, very weak.

I just finished the slog. It was 85• it wasn't supposed to be. They lied to me. My energy was nil. I used an old Nokia phones timer and it worked well. I had no energy to wash the furniture.

So, I'm in now. Finished the melon bag. Will have to cut another quarter up. I better not succumb to frito san. It ruins my appetite for din. Guess ill mix up a slim fast. But oh those fritos would hit the spot.

My cuz wrote me to tell me she opened my em and will answer soon. I am politely pumping her for info. I can't inundate her. Sigh. Well, i can search out two more pics to send her. She'll learn that each em i send will contain two old pics. She had commented on another of our cousins and i found his wedding pics. I have 11 cousins on both sides. I'm very interested in the family tree.

Put upon greetings from my annoying Street in poundsville, calif. A Prozac inducing villa in the good old u.s.a.

There is a man right outside my open window pounding stakes into someone's heart. I thought this nonsense was over. I can assure you I am over it.

I checked the cal wood fire in CO but now realize they didn't give updated containment. That's weird. I'm sensing they may get a handle on this one. Also our air is good.

I weighed myself and gained 2# Monsieur Frito is grinning. I couldn't have possibly eaten 2# of Fritos. But 2# of Fritos doesn't equal 2# of gain. Those innocently seductive curly strips. The bag was small and sticking my hand in while trying to turn epages was making my screen a smeary mess. So I bowled it. Rats.

Well, I'll make penance on the back 40. Temp will be 70+ which is perfect. I was doing 90+ which was not.

I have to charge my radio. And find some stop watch app. My timer futzed out last time and I have no more batteries. I really don't want to buy a stop watch.

Mr x rolled two more melons to our abode. He is in high melon gear. He said there were only 6 left.

Progress report #2 i did find a Halloween earring in the bin. I sorted thru the bin. Took out some watches and earrings. The earrings aren't accessible. Think ill put them in the closet. I've got them in an egg carton stuck in hefty bag.

I'm sure i have a post pumpkin earring. Where is that? My jewelry is still scattered around. Got to look on desky.

I took a nap. Cut the melon. It's a really good one. Din was dinty Moore over brown rice, and veg. I just saw some home made choc cookies ol. Grr... i want! Today i kind of pigged out. Couple bowls of fritos while reading. Well, ill be back slogging tom. Supposed to be cooler. Heard fires 15% now. Coming along.

Think it's time for some melon or ensure. It was a good day.

Progress report #1 flow bee cut done. One of my better works. Some days flow bee works better than others. It's also hard holding the flow bee up. But because he cut 2/3 it was easier.

I put in a small orange drop earring. Then got in closet. Sorted thru three shelves. Didn't find any more Halloween jewelry. I think I have some earrings elsewhere. One day I need to take down the jewelry tins and arrange them. I want bracelets in a separate tin. I'm wearing a beautiful multi coloured tennis bracelet gf got me. But who would wear a delicate piece like this slamming tennis balls?

    Fires 5% contained. That's a start.

I don't feel like desky work. I do have 3 ems to get out. I have papers on that cookie sheet to look at. At least Mr x is content having his hair done. Milton melon is chillin in the fridge. I have to cut into that. So much to do. So little energy. Think I'll have some cold leftovers and read my book. But before that while room still light I'm going into a bin to see if there are more Halloween jewelry.

Those lazy hazy days of sundae greetings! It's sunny bright. Will be hot but not like yesterday.

I'm feeling unmotivated. Ah, just remembered I'm supposed to flow bee Mr xs hair. He started chopping at his bangs and sides. Not a good look. He's got kind of long hair in back. He ought to keep it. Before he said his bike helmet would slip with the long hair but he's not riding crazy like he used to.

A deer with a rack was spotted on a near by Street. Yes, big bosomed deer flashing nabes even as we speak.

CO received some rain which might've helped the new fire.

It's almost noon and I haven't done my hair or popped in an earring. I think it was the hot slog yesterday. I'm pleasantly tired. But it's not helping my day. I must produce! I work in the produce section. Juggles them lettuces and tomaters. Mr x delightedly made me clam chowder soup and half an avocado.

Ok, I shall do the hair n earring routine. I'll get a step stool and search for Halloween jewelry. I'll flow bee. And write out Amazon invoices. At least this is my plan.

I'm still fried. With that ensure I had some Fritos while reading this new book. Offhand I think it's a 1915 Victorian. A criminal turns over a new leaf to win the hand of this woman. Now he uses his skills for good. It's vg.

Sometimes Victorian books are hard to get into. There's a lot of excess words. Pages n pages of this n that. They moralize, too, sometimes. Speaking directly to the reader. But this story is straight forward. You'd never think it was written over 100 years ago. Except for certain words n phrases. I love the period language. For instance, some terrible man they call a hound. A hound! I love it.

Gun smoke was on yesterday while I was feeding Wally. That was nice.

Oh, just saw yet another fire has started in boulder co. Here we go again. Rain can't come soon enough.

I'm a bit fried. I slogged and when I finished it was 95• I had to stop four times. Have a lil headache now.

Heard from gf. She was stopped at Denver. Said it didn't rain. She's prob home now. I'm curious what happened. Did she find a condo to buy? Did she meet up with her friend?

Think I'll have an icy choc ensure.

Warm weather greetings from my sun blasted town in Super Novaville, calif. A Cinder Ella inspired rhapsody in u.s.a.

I heard from gf. She was taxiing from Cedar rapids, Iowa. She said it was raining and she was headed to Denver which is raining too.

Mr x and I were discussing the lemur that was lemnapped from SF zoo. Fortunately it was recovered.

Yesterday fed Wally for 5 hours. He wet but the towel contained it. Other times it runs down garage. You never know with that Wally.

Today is slog day. Going to be a hot one. Like 90s.

I'm glad you found the right choc almonds, Mr wrong. Choc dust, indeed. Cough, cough. I don't know about the dove almonds, tho. I chomped down on some once and my mouth started foaming. Don't know what was up with that.

    Have a delectable saturday!

I was recently searching for milk chocolate almonds online and I immediately sprang over to the Blue Diamond website, thinking that because they're all about almonds, they would most certainly offer milk chocolate covered almonds.

    Blue Diamond does not.

What Blue Diamond does offer is almonds covered in cocoa powder or some such dust. No can do.

So, off I went to Planters' website. Lo and behold, they had some available. Haven't been home yet to sample them. Bought substitute chocolate almonds at a Pilot truck that were nothing to sneeze at.

The best chocolate almonds out there are from Dove. But nowadays, I only see dark chocolate almonds on store shelves.

    First World problems!

amazing as it sounds, i passed the dmv vision test. i was quite apprehensive in days leading up to it. every nite religiously doing the eye exercises. straining, straining to see, imagine, the dinky little letters. when it came time to test, i didnt even falter! i guess i could see the shapes good enough to recognize. mr x came with me. we had a 2.5 hour wait. he started grumbling part way thru the wait.

other day we were at macs. tried their new ice mocha. yum!

then yesterday hung out with bro for 5.5 hrs. he had these dumb rebate cards to redeem and he didnt need anything. so we went to walgreens, 2 cvs, and a tjs. i caught up on my shopping. we hit a macs and i tried the caramel macchiato. even better than the mocha. we got along very well. we had been estranged a long time. but now i suppose i will eventually move closer to him. he lives in san jose. not a place id like to be. maybe i can move nearby on the coast. would like some fog weather.

so i passed my big hurdle. can relax now and get back to normal. have to hire a drywall guy.

just finished a great read. about uber rich ladies and the scam perpetrated against them. a good frothy read. hey, its fall i believe! got bottle of pumpkin spice latte by starbucks. so curious to taste it.

welcome to fall! time to bring out the sweaters.

finally got back here. we had a plumbing event. on labor day mr x noticed water running off front lawn. a water main had broke. a small 2" gush was gushing out. mr x called water company who turned off water. then i called our go to plumber. a solution was to replace pipe to house. however id been wanting to replace the pipes one day. we had no hot water at bathroom sink and cold faucet was dribbling out. i knew it was a matter of time. then. we didnt have hot or warm water in washer. only cold. thats why my wash would take hours. so i decided to kill all birds with one stone. i replaced all pipes with copper. it took a total of 5 days. we had no water for 3 days. first day we used wipey dypes. 2nd day mr x warmed water jugs in sun and we bathed with a gallon of water. i helped mr x wash his hair on back lawn. i viewed the experience like camping. its doable, but im not keen on it. 3 guys were here. all spoke spanish. so i decided to learn spanish on phone app. itd be nice to be able to converse with them.

im doing eye exercises. plan on taking vision test next week. its better not doing close work, which ive done my whole life. reading way too much. better to look at scenery. i think ill continue the eye exercises.

we had really hot temps, then other day first rain of the year! it began with a thousand lightening strikes. scary, and weird for this area. it started brush fire couple towns over. also monsciour ugly was caught on film sliding his grotesquely ugly body under a residents fence. # the outrage

id been watching lovely old films, then the plumbing debacle. i have to bring in a drywall guy to patch up the holes the plumber left. already found my guy thru yelp.

back to school time, but kids already back. when did that start? and no telethon with jerry lewis. he really wanted to hit 100.

its been super hot here. sf broke record. something like 106. we were 107. i was taking 3 showers a day. would sit outside at nite for air, started watching my dvd player. watched, british intelligence, with boris karloff. such an intimidating man. it was a ww1 flick in blk/wh. got bit by mosquitos. its the gift that keeps on giving. next nite sprayed off on.

got couple more weeks for eye exercises then have to take dmv vision test. strangely enough, the pinhole glasses im using seem to help. before i couldnt see without glasses without closing an eye. now im able to read my phone without glasses. of course, i return to glasses asap.

the smoke from oregon and calif fires drifted down here. could smell it slightly. today its a strange totally overcast day, but warm.

your friendly, pink weather girl.

hi izzy! i know what you mean. its fun to read new blogs. kind of like toothpaste. if nothing to read, ill read the tube. tube tops. i thought those were the dumbest things. then my wing went out once and i couldnt finagle a bra. so had to get the tubes. so easy to put on. i have them in colors, of course. fuchsia, lime, orange.

im writing on lappy, my laptop. too onerous to text on my phone.

its been a long, hot summer. i look forward to fall temps when i can don my beloved denim jackets.

izzy, that was interesting telling of what a nuclear stress test is. what is the nuclear part? the dye? it sounds so high tech. nuclear. do you glow now:)

i need to clean my fans. some arent openable. need some kind of thin bristle brush.

a few cities over madame ugly and her spawn were spotted. search partys are out since they came down where schools are. i noticed their looks didnt improve over the summer.

did i mention mr x found a dead rat on back lawn. thankfully he disposed of it. he said it was 17" with tail. # ick

see you in september!

my newest project is trying to buy glasses ol.

last nights movie was a doris day musical. she can really dance. and tap. that is an odd dance move. the guy was doing it on a staircase. itd be kind of neat to suddenly break into a tap dance.

then i started a cary grant and rosallnd russell movie.

i made up 5 packs of indonesian ramen. made oodles of noodles. heard ramen is hot commodity in prisons. ramen wth an egg on top. # breakfast is served

i should try on my cargo shorts again. itll probably be another year till i can wear them. i sure love the pockets. i used to be a tomboy back in my tomcat days. but i grew out of it. i get more favorable responses when i dress ladylike.

We had to replace the water pipe to our house, years ago, when we had our own house. BF and a friend did the work.
A root from a tree had punctured the pipe...so the tree was felled.
The lawn never recovered from the line that had to be dug into it to access the pipe.

I bet its nice to have working water again!

OMG, the smoke from the fires drifted into Colorado so thick that it allowed one to look directly at the sun without seeing spots when looking away!
We could barely make out the shapes of the mountains through the heavy smoke.
When the sun had set and the moon had risen, the moon looked much like the sun had looked...only the sky was dark!
There was also a fire near Steamboat Springs, Colorado that grew from 2 acres to 419 acres in just a few hours...that also contributed to our smoky air.
The elderly and people with health issues are being advised to stay indoors with the doors and windows closed.
Its really kinda scary to see that much smoke in the air!

I'm glad to hear that the eye exercises and the pinhole glasses are working for you! ...I should try something like that since my aging eyes are failing fast...but I am lazy lately...maybe at another time.
