I'm happy to hear that they are getting some containment on the fire there!
I'm not sure how much containment they have achieved on the multiple fires in Colorado, but we have finally seen some rain and the air is clear enough to view the mountains to the west of Denver!
Now the fear is for the possibility of mudslides that may occur in the burned out areas that may close parts of the highway back down.
I wanted to comment on you saying that your 3g phones are obsolete. There are rural areas in the Colorado mountains, less than 100 miles west of Denver, that are only provided with 3g service. There are also whole communities that have no cell service at all, even though they are a short distance from a cell tower! It all depends on the location and whether the mountains block the signal or if it "bounces" around over a valley.
So, it is still common to see folks in the mountains walking around with their phone in the air, looking for a signal! ....While city folk in Denver are getting 5g service!
I hope that Wally gets satisfied and that his weak bladder makes little to no mess on the floor!
I hope Nutella is feeling much better soon!

Fresher air greetings from my constantly changing town in northern cali. I have the front door open! I heard fire is 50% contained.

I slogged today. It went ok. And tonight my new ice blue knee straps came a day early. I'm going to skip a slog tomorrow tho. That's when Nutella knee barked, after I slogged two days in a row.

So, I shall feed Wally. He's been patiently waiting. I fed him a Mickey mouse pod so he's been dreaming great dreams about fibrous meals. His dream will come true tomorrow.

Other day Mr x asked me if I touched the water heater. No, I didn't. Why? He said his bath water wasn't hot. So we tromped to heater. It was set on lowest setting. I moved it up a notch. That was the solution.

Then we had a rousing Seinfeld convo. A talk about nothing. We figured the pg and e guy who came and reset the appliances must've moved it.

Then the why. Why would he move it to the lowest setting? Passive aggressive tendency? He thought we were wasting energy? He's a demented jokester imagining folks taking a cold bath? Why move it at all?

Who knows? Who cares? I really dislike these random, required guys coming in and moving stuff around. They were updating the wires. Yeah, yeah.

Mr x made a deli Sam. I could only eat half. It was good. I cut the new melon. It was hard to do. Melon was round and tall, not really a flat bottom. I use a huge cleaver, tho. I can't believe my mom didn't have a cleaver, too. She had a long, thin knife. That makes even cutting carrots dangerous.

Because I slogged I didn't do anything. But I am trying to find an appropriate charger for my phone. Some take way too long. I'm debating whether to toss those. Will I need a slow moving charger? Maybe I better hold on to them until I process all my phones.

It was Smokey again so I didn't slog. Was basically a sleepy, pink slug. What did I do? I didn't have high hopes. I read the big Sunday paper. I have one more to go. Corona nabe is tossing us the sundae paper. Moved some papers under table.

I made a chair disappear! Yes, I'm the Amazing Vaporising Dazz! Mr x goes to desky for some scissors. He said, where'd the chair go? I had just moved it like a foot to the right but it was covered with some stuff to put away. There's all this crap sticking out under the table. Piles and bags of info. He didn't see the chair! And he's got eagle eyes. I'm such a clutterer.

This reminds me, uncomfortably, with my folks hoard. I came in once and didn't notice my mom sitting in the LR. How could I? It was packed with chairs, couch, boxes etc. It's vision overload. You can't take it all in. And she was being funny and not saying anything.

I processed one phone. My pink and white beautiful Motorola one. It's obsolete 3g. I went thru all the functions. Only thing that works is the radio. So I put note describing its condition, attached charger, and put in plastic bag. I'm collecting them in a box.

So today was very light weight. But something is better than nothing. I'm wearing a small silver filigree heart necklace.

Friday night nears its end. The air got bad. It was supposed to be better today. So I don't feel bad I didn't slog. I even had to shut the windows. And bro got better air. So obviously the wind changed.

I know you want to share in my productive day but I must disappoint you. What the heck did I do anyway? I cut more melon. Oh, I did go thru my device box. Straightened stuff. I found the charger bag. What else? I straightened things on my desk and under it. I found that check. Didn't deposit it. Oh, right. I took a delectable nap.

Well tomorrow is another day. I don't know if I will slog. It depends on the air. I was wearing a green Buddha pendant today. I dipped a dull necklace chain in the ammonia cleaner. And I found the rings I was looking for. My class and grandma's wedding ring. Oh, I also took down all the dry wash. I did more than I thought!

Mr x is getting on my nerves. He's telling me fish detailed stories. Im not awake right now. I decided to stop taking my melatonin since mr x commented is it even working. Now he's talking about submarines. Im feeling hung over. I think the melatonin prevented that.

I decided to skip the slog today. Im not pleased about it. Nutella knee didn't give me any more twinges but I'm hungover. It takes a lot of energy to get me out the door. Struggling into the tight crop top, spf ing, my hair, dragging all my supplies outside.

And i have stuff to do inside. I got a refund from AAA's car insurance for 10$ they offered it as folks driving less right now. It's still sitting on my desk. Ill mobile deposit it. It's pizza Friday. Mr x makes his gut busting round omelet. But the air quality is pretty good today. And the shrieking, budding kangaroos on their trampoline will be in zoom school. Rats. But also im not fit enough to do back to back to back slogs. Well ill make the best of today. Ill mess with treadmill and tighten it. Ill look into pals pilates vid. Bike too. Also i will look for other knee straps for our dear nutella. I only bought one to try it. And it does help.

Yesterday i was on patio and looked down on table. It was dirty. But i had sprayed and scrubbed it the day before. What is this? It looked like tiny pieces of hair. Round spots. I didn't get it. Then Mr x told me he was talking to a nabe. The nabe was swiping at his car. Mr x said, what is that? Nabe said ash. Ah! So that's ash fallout. Weird, too. Our patio is covered plus blocked in by two houses. There's a two story house in back that really blocks things. And yet the table is covered with ash. Wow.

Im having a new espresso flavor. It's ok. Strong. I am determined to have a productive day. I need to find a weaker charger so will go thru my box of phone parts. I noticed my phones charger getting alarmingly hot. I think it's too strong and fast for a small phone.

Im off to see the wizard.

Distracted greetings from my not quite out of the woods yet town. It smells lil smokey now. Last I read it was 35% contained.

Air was wonderful earlier. Bit of wind. Cooler. I had a good slog. Was resting on lounge when I heard voices. Pulled off earphones. It seems nabe girl was having some zoom p.e. class outside. How interesting this no school is. I'm glad she's back in school cause her trampoline and plastic pool play dates were quite noisy. I don't mind the noise so much. It's the shrieking. It gets to such a high decibel it cracks my glasses.

And Nutella knee is barking right now. She doesn't like me slogging two days in a row. I've got that practically orthopaedic cushioned sole pink dirty slogging shoe and it's not enough for Nutella. I had the pink knee strap on neutragena knee too. Well I'll have to play it by knee. If it's still off tomorrow, I can't slog. It'll make it worse. I would skate then. Balance board.

Bros been sending more pics. One was some play in 8th grade. I had a green painted face. Some Shakespeare thing.

I have a headache. Maybe the smoke smell. Bro said he pulled out his air purifier. I've been using eye drops.

I cut more melon. I put the uncut piece on one side. I left the larger space open. I'm hoping Mr x will wash Milton melon that's sitting on the floor.

Well again no work accomplished. Maybe I can at least mess with my phones.

I wrote on my hs site. It's different than here. Here I let fly with my OCD ideosyncracies. I'll tell you I took Prozac. I'll tell you when Mr x annoys me.

I do hs blog differently. I do the pink schtick. I'm more complimentary to Mr x. I keep it more light-hearted perhaps. All positive. I suppose I want them to see me in complimentary aspect too.

I did slog. High 5 candy bar. It started out rocky, tho. Mr x had weed whacked front and back. He comes in and tells me he rinsed off patio furniture because the whacker had gotten grass and dust all over it.

Well, grass and dust you brush off your clothes. Im slogging and have spf on. Im already dirty. What's a lil grass and dust?

What i got was wet furniture. Wet patio. Thanks a lot. I had to bring a plate out to put my notebook on that i keep track of my time. I couldn't put my timer on the table. I got to lie on wet lounge. I was very irked yet didn't say anything. He picked up i wasn't pleased and came out with a sponge to wipe off lounge.

This furniture washing really irked me. Can you just stay out of my space? I was going to wash the furniture anyway so his was a waste of time. And he just sprays it down. Ive taken to sponging it down because the spf gets on it and dirt sticks to it.

Frankly i was fuming and glad to slog because it powered me thru. You slog till you're not angry.

I weighed myself and was resigned to seeing a few more pounds since i haven't slogged in 12 days. You can imagine my surprise when i lost a pound. And strangely, i was able to do my hour slog. With three stops. The wind helped blow the smoke smell away.

I wore a fuchsia long crop with fuchsia shorts. I think i can wear my short crop tomorrow. It keeps me on track. Air quality supposed to be even better. Ive got to take advantage of it. Chore wise, i did nothing.

Im listening to norm Lewis sing music of the night. I discovered him because he sang a Jason Alexander song. He's very good.

Read article that rogue citizens are doing firefighter tasks. They don't trust the real ones to save their homes.

Had an ensure. I want something else. Maybe melon. Haven't had that in awhile. Now listening to ed Sheeran's perfect.

Oh, i tried new photo chromic sunglasses. Very nice.

Dawn breaks overcast and cool over my urban battered town. A hazy lazy outpost in Ashville, Calif. A smokey the bear start up in U.S.A.

Im listening to jazz. Mr x is weed whacking. He started 10 min early. No noise before 8 a.m. such a rebel. i stuck my tousled head out door to assess the situation. There's a slight smoke smell but there's a bit of wind. Im planning to slog.

I have a headache. My ch was high this morn. Im not doing well not slogging. I may wear a long crop for the cooler clime plus i haven't slogged for 12 days. Ill have to review my notes to see the chores i accomplished. Otherwise it'd be a wasted 12 days.

I did need to do stuff. When i was juggling slogging, i put off other stuff. It was a healthy move but my desky was slipping. When i cleaned out that big box of kitchen stuff, i ran across a cookie sheet. Im using it to work on desky. Has nice edges. I cleaned stuff from under desky. Have to put it away.

Got my radio charging. I may be wearing my new blue chromatic sunglasses. And i tell you i always walk the back 40 pre slog to look for monsieur ugly or dead rats? Cause once i put on non prescription sunglasses i can't see. Other day mr x found a dead rat under the avocado tree that was din for some predator. Yuck. And something is eating our tomatoes. Bits of skin and seeds are strewn about. On next door other nabes had same prob. Guesses are birds, rodents. Yuck.

Im having a new kpod. Martinsons pecan. It's good. I think ill just have a clif bar. Maybe i can get out earlier before noon. When i was going thru rooms for fire grab, i planned to wear the pink slog shoe if we had to evac. Because i need it to slog. But it is very disreputable because of the dust. I wouldn't want to show up at an airbnb with filthy shoes.

In the interim the back 40s grass has started to sprout. Remember the fire hydrant flood? It watered the dirt. Maybe the grass fuzz can clean my shoes a bit.

Because ive become so fascinated with Jason Alexander on Seinfeld i went to see the vid collection. It has 33 discs. Sheesh. That reminds me why i never got it. You don't want to have to speed watch the whole shebang just to make sure there are no defective ones. Maybe i can find it on a streaming app. I also have no space. I have no extra space in this house. Ive got my dvds in a cabinet. They're stacked in front of each other. I don't want 33 more. Plus doing the fire grab list dvds did not make the cut.

Ok, I'm off. Hopefully i can report a slog.

Crawling to the blog table late today. Woke up early again to stinky air. You're right, izzy, this lethargy may be smoke induced. I can't have the window open at night just fans blowing air around. I haven't been working out. I did not vac, as you suggested. Ill wait for a better day. They are forecasting thur to be cleaner day.

My eyes were itching today so used eye drops. And now i have a headache. But this is peanuts compared to those in the thick of it. They're up to 15% containment over here. I skipped going out for tomatoes.

What did i do today? Im wearing a yellow spaghetti top over white shorts. Usually been wearing my halters but white halter with white shorts looks too French open. Im wearing a gold and silver lighthouse necklace. I can't tell you how convenient my homemade necklace hangers made from an actual hanger is. I am wearing and enjoying my necklaces.

And i organized four shelves in closet. I put all my jewelry boxes to the side. I want to pull all the necklaces.

Geez, that's about all ive done. Oh, i did cut more melon pieces. Well, the days not over. Im charging more devices to check on them. Nothing in the box so far.

That's terrible hope et al encountering more fire on their mini vacay. That 43• sounds a bit refreshing after their muggy heat.

Think ill listen to Jason Alexander now. Also started watching his dancing vids.

I thought I might mention that your sleepiness may be a result of the smoky air in your area.
Also, the health department has suggested, while air quality is very poor, to avoid vacuuming, as it adds to the fine particulates in the air in your home...and to avoid frying and boiling meat. If you have an air purifier, they suggest you keep it in a closed-off room so you can have a place to go within your home to breathe cleaner air.
They also say it is best to exercise indoors while air quality is bad.
I sure wish the smoke covered sky would keep the heat down here! We are expecting the high temperature to be 98°F for Tuesday...and the sky looks like overcast, but it's not from moisture laden clouds...it is just hazy with smoke!
Hope and her parents and a couple who they are friends with drove to Yellowstone National Park and spent 3 days there. Hope's mom texted me a few times (though there is no wifi service and phone signal is crap there!) to tell me that a fire started in the park while they were there, causing them to take an alternative route to see Old Faithful and that the sky was a bit smoky, but the high temperature was 80°F during the day and they woke to a brisk 43°F in the mornings. They are traveling home today (Tuesday) and are not looking forward to the excessively hot and smoky conditions at home!
There has been some advancement on containment of 2 of the biggest fires, here, and they were finally able to reopen I-70, which had been closed for over a week due to fire and unsafe travel conditions in the Glenwood Springs canyon.
Hopefully they will get some rain soon to help in containment!
I sure hope some precipitation comes to your side of the country, soon, to help aid in the fighting of the fires near you!
