I'd say do an experiment and take it out long enough to see if it'll pick up the connection. I assume you mean to buy songs online or something else? It'd be a PITA to move it to and from, but if it's that or no 'net... ;_;

Do you have it resting in an entertainment center? We had to take ours out (which I hated doing) so that it's sitting atop a stand rather than behind glass doors. It was just that little bit of interference that stopped it from picking up the Internet.
