They expect me to walk to wherever it is I decide to get a job. The only place that offers jobs nearby is the Wawa across the street, and they pay below minimum wage and are extremely rude.
Right off the bat, my parents told me they won't pay for my first few years unless I pitch in. Which, of course, I can't, since they won't teach me how to drive, and I therefore won't get a job.
It's really mind-boggling. I'm unavailable during most school days, due to homework and my participation in my school's Anime Club every Wednesday after school. Weekends are usually packed with homework, as well. Yet, all this summer, they wouldn't teach me a thing...
...Of course, since my parents have yet to teach me how to drive, I won't get a job to help pay for college...and it's my senior year this year, once school starts again. My last year of high school. I can't even think about colleges right now, since I don't have a job.
I wish I could. D: I've never been fond of Pennsylvania. If I don't take online college courses, I'll probably be going to a college far away, or out of state.
We don't live on a paved road, at all. The road behind us is paved, but not the one we're directly connected to. It's odd. There's a major highway about a hundred feet away, and the road in front of our house isn't even paved. I live right next to a fire station, as well...
Soy? Peppers? Wheat? Asparagus? ...*shudders* Blech. I don't like most veggies. Soy is my least favorite, followed by broccoli.
I don't live really close to any corn fields...maybe about a mile, half a mile away is the closest one. I live right near a major highway. Lots of accidents. Really makes the night interesting, hearing all the shattering glass.
Pennsylvania is about 10% farmland and 90% housing...in my area, at least. I can walk about a mile from my house and come to at least two different fields of corn.
