Well the rare item guide does say they're still in circulation.

It doesn't really matter to me. I don't like handheld items anyways. I still need all of Channah's items, and a few NPC items as well. So it's no biggie.

For the most part! I'm still missing a few of the npc lolli's, but they're not retired so I'll keep trying for those at another event.

I must have forgotten about it because I don't get trade notifications on my main XD

Remember how I said I needed the Easter/Pattys/April Fools 11 items? Apparently I bought the items back in April and sent them to myself from my mule. Just saw a trade from my mule to my main dated April 24th when I went to send crunky the bee headphones for the page prize in my event thread.
