I go through very similar spurts of inspiration though (although mine come like, once every... DECADE!? Okay, maybe once in awhile, but still quite long...), and I've stayed up restless due to my thoughts a billion times. xD The best way is always to write them down. I've learned from experience, because I always utterly forget my suggestions and whatnot the following morning... >_o
Anyway, I'm splendiforous, thanks for asking! ;D My summer is utterly dull and pointless, but I'm still managing to enjoy myself with friends. xD
