Ok Torchwood follows Captin Jack and plays on his imortal quality. It takes place in the Dr WHO UNIVERSE after season one so its modern and doesnt jump around in time. Its in Britan for the most part of course Jack and a team of other neat characters have this secret task group kind of called Torchwood. Its their job to nutralize alien and supernaturalish events or occurences. Its hard to explain..lol (this is Ivvy taking over Akios stuff right now) I really sugest giving it a chance. I love Dr who dont get me wrong but torchwood was more relatable and I got way more into the characters. If nothing else at least give it a 5 episode chance before you decide to go all the way of give up on it.
It is a doctor who spin off. I an the wife are huge doctor who fans but we both agree that Torchwood is better. It also happens to be on netflix in its entirty. Also i was going to ask if you have seen the steven king movie langdalers. Also on netflix an amazing classic.
